Dear Papa, Your baby Lally isn’t a baby anymore… I said yes to the man I prayed for and more than I could’ve ever imagined. He proposed in your favorite place, and I know you were sitting in your spot, watching it all unfold. This moment was everything I dreamed of, and I carried you with me in every second. 🤍

And to my Jesus, my first love. Thank You for writing this story more beautifully than I could’ve ever dreamed. Every detail carried Your hand, every moment overflowed with Your love. My heart is forever grateful. 🤍

Younger Marly was scared. Scared of ending up alone, scared of getting older and still not finding the kind of love she wanted.

She was so afraid of being alone that sometimes she wondered if she was asking for too much. If wanting a healthy, loving relationship was just a dream. If maybe she should settle for what was in front of her.

But one day, she decided she would rather wait than settle. She started asking God, “Am I asking for too much?” And somewhere deep inside, the answer was always, “No. Just let Me do it in My timing.”

So she kept praying. Praying for a love that was healthy, safe, intentional, and real. Even when she was scared it might never come, she kept believing that what she was asking God for wasn’t too much.

But she wanted things on her own timeline. She ended up in places that weren’t meant for her, with people who weren’t meant to stay. And every time, somehow, God pulled her out and brought her closer to what she had been praying for.

And honestly… I ended up with the golden boy. 🤍

The man who showed me that love can be soft and certain at the same time. That I can be completely myself and still be deeply loved. He makes me feel seen in the smallest moments, chosen in the biggest ones. I believe God tailored us for each other, because so much of what I prayed for, I found in him. I never had to ask for attention, to feel cherished, or for the princess treatment he showers me with. And every day, I’m grateful that God’s timing was never mine to control.

And sometimes I think about Younger Marly, and every girl who might be in that same season right now, and I wish I could tell her:

You were never asking for too much. You were never too difficult to love. You just had to trust God with the timing.

Never stop praying for what you believe God has placed in your heart. Never stop trusting His timing. This is proof that God gives us more than we pray for 🤍 by @marlyramsis
