As we prepare for our Vintage, Games, Comics & Toy Pop-Up at Charles Point, it was inspiring to connect with so many artists who make the Hudson Valley such a creative place to be. Supporting local artists and makers is a huge part of what we’re building, and this weekend reminded us exactly why.

We wrapped up the day at Stark Vintage @stark_vintage_ checked out some awesome finds, and left even more excited for what’s coming on July 12th.

Episode II — Inside the Brew

The story of Verplanck Point Porter continues.

In this chapter, Marcus Lutter, Brew Master at River Outpost Brewing Company, takes us behind the tanks and into the heart of the brewery to walk through the process of bringing this historic recipe to life.

From carefully selected Hudson Valley malts to the brewing techniques that transform grain into a rich, complex porter, Marcus shows how tradition and modern craft come together in every batch.

What began as a collaboration between River Outpost Brewing Company and Apropos Restaurant, alongside Bar Manager Donnan Sutherland, is becoming something truly special—an homage to history brewed right here on the Hudson.

Next up: Episode III — The Pour.

Episode I. The Water. The Grain. The Fire.

What happens when history meets craft?

@riveroutpostbrewing Brew Master Marcus Lutter joins forces with @aproposrestaurant Bar Manager Donnan Sutherland to revive a recipe inspired by George Washington himself — reimagined as Verplanck Point Porter.

In this 3-part series, we go beyond the glass.
We meet with Hudson Valley Malt’s @hudsonvalleymalt Dennis Nesel to witness the grain process from the source — where local barley becomes the backbone of a beer centuries in the making.

From field to flame.
From recipe to revival.
From history to Hudson Valley.

This isn’t just a collaboration — it’s craftsmanship honoring legacy.

Stay tuned for Part II. 🍺

Goes great with bacon for brunch, burgers for lunch, or BBQ for dinner!
