Making art & romanticizing creativity. ✨
Rediscovering my creative side, one drawing at a time. Art, everyday beauty, and a little whimsy.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This was one of the first drawings I did after completing a 30 day challenge I set for myself to learn how to draw with oil pastels. Turns out I was just getting started.

After a 10 year hiatus from creating art regularly, I felt so disconnected. So I challenged myself to create for 30 days. And I did. Every. Single. Day.

This little olive drawing was inspired by other art, but it was the first time I felt like I had really connected. And I felt so inspired. And I realized you can just make the conscious choice to do something that lights you up. And I started dreaming bigger.

So my challenge to you - is there something you’ve pushed aside or haven’t done but you feel your heart calling for it? Maybe you should listen. ✨

I cannot tell you the satisfaction of removing the masking tape to reveal the boarders of the final art piece…👩‍🍳💋

Here are a few of my paintings; almost all of which have been turned into prints!

I’m working on my website as we speak. If you don’t want to miss the announcement when it’s live, follow along and sign up for my email list linked in my bio (you’ll be notified first!). And if you’re local to Minneapolis, I’m working on trying to get a few holiday markets lined up, so stay tuned. 🤗

a little oil pastel show & tell ✨

a few recent favorites! I’ve been having so much fun playing around with different art styles, experimenting with color, and seeing what happens when I just let myself create without overthinking it.

honestly, I think the experimenting might be my favorite part. 🫶

which one’s your favorite?

well, hello instagram! ✨

five months ago, I decided to start making art again after almost a decade away from creating regularly.

I had no idea what I was doing (and honestly, I still don’t most days 😂), but I knew I missed being creative.

so I picked up some oil pastels, gave myself permission to make imperfect art, and decided to see where a little curiosity could take me.

fast forward a few months and I’ve somehow just finished my first art market, started selling prints of my work, and have a million more creative ideas I can’t wait to explore. 🥹

I’m so excited to bring this little creative adventure over here.

so if you’re rediscovering your creative side, learning to let go of perfectionism, or just looking for a little more art and whimsy in your everyday life… you may like it here. 🤍

I’m Mar, and I’m so happy you’re here! ✨
