From the very beginning, I knew MARME was meant to be more than a hat brand. I was building a brand with purpose. To create something that would remind women of who they are, and inspire them to become all they’re meant to be. Yes, we make hats. Beautifully designed in San Diego and handcrafted alongside artisans in Guanajuato, Mexico. The hats have always been the vessel. The purpose has always been the woman wearing them. A reminder to walk into the interview with confidence. To book the trip you’ve been dreaming about. To celebrate the milestone you worked so hard to reach. To choose yourself again after disappointment. To stand a little taller. To dream a little bigger. To trust the woman you’re becoming. I’ve always believed that what we wear shouldn’t define our worth. It should remind us of it. That’s why every MARME piece is created with intention rooted in craftsmanship, heritage, and the belief that confidence is something every woman deserves to carry with her. If you’ve been here since the beginning, thank you for believing in something bigger than fashion. And if you’re new here, welcome. You’re not just wearing a hat. You’re wearing a reminder. Our founder Maria Mejia: Just a Latina with dreams. Her fears, sacrifices and doubts didn’t stop her from building a dream that went beyond just making hats. Creating and empowering a community of women, supporting @girlup a movement to advance girls skills, rights and opportunities to be leaders, and providing job opportunities for the people of her hometown was her mission, and something she never thought possible. She began to believe in her self and her power, and that’s how MARME was born. By wearing a MARME hat, she hopes you are reminded to believe in yourself, your capabilities and your POWER within!
