Galleria Paola Colombari in collaboration with Stanislas Reboul is pleased to announce its participation in THEMA DESIGN + ART + FAIR in Paris, a new international fair dedicated to Art Design, contemporary art and collectible craftsmanship in dialogue.The exhibition will be held in the historic Sotheby’s building during Paris Art Week 2026, alongside PARIS ART BASEL. THE SHAPE OF ABSENCE

MC2gallery opens the doors of its new location in the heart of Milan’s Design District, at Via Maroncelli 7, with “The Shape of Absence”, a solo exhibition dedicated to Bastiaan Woudt, one of the most lucid and innovative names in international contemporary photography.

The exhibition explores the Dutch artist’s poetics, bringing together the purity of his classic portraits, a selection of previously unseen works, and the Henro series, born from an intense bicycle journey along the ancient temple trail of Shikoku, Japan.
Through a sculptural use of light, deep blacks reminiscent of Indian ink, and radical formal subtraction, Woudt transfigures the human figure into rigorous geometric lines, suspending it in a metaphysical space that fuses modernist aesthetics and Eastern spirituality.

THE SHAPE OF ABSENCE

MC2gallery opens the doors of its new location in the heart of Milan’s Design District, at Via Maroncelli 7, with The Shape of Absence, a solo exhibition dedicated to Bastiaan Woudt, one of the most lucid and innovative names in international contemporary photography.
