All I can say is, I either have friends that really like me, or I truly don't have obvious bad character. I was expecting them to list some characters (cus that's how the trend has been going for others, lol).

I think it’s normal to feel a little jealous when someone you’re close to starts getting close to somebody else.

You care about them. You value the friendship. Of course something in you might react.

The problem is when that jealousy starts turning into entitlement.

When you start acting funny because they have other friends. When you get upset because they’re building connections that have nothing to do with you.

That is unhealthy.

People are not property. Friendship does not mean ownership.

Someone can love you deeply and still have other people they love, trust, talk to, spend time with and build community with.

Their world does not have to shrink just because you are in it.

It is controlling behavior to insist that you must be the only close friend another person has. And it is toxic to punish someone for having a life outside of you.

Healthy friendship has room for trust, boundaries, individuality and other relationships. You can love each other deeply without needing to own each other. by @maroonconstellations

If you keep waiting for one last conversation to finally make everything make sense, you might keep yourself stuck longer than you need to be.

You might keep rereading old messages, replaying what happened, wondering what you missed, or hoping they will one day explain themselves in a way that gives you peace.

Peace never comes from them.

You have to look at how the relationship made you feel, how much of yourself you lost trying to understand it, and decide that this is enough information.

You do not need every answer before you move on.

You just need enough clarity to know that staying attached to what hurt you is costing you more than letting go.
