في أكتوبر 2006، انضممت إلى جريدة القبس في الكويت كصحافي اقتصادي. عملت هناك لمدة 7 أعوام و8 أشهر، كرئيس قسم الاقتصاد. خلال هذه المسيرة، كان لي شرف العمل تحت قيادة رئيس التحرير وليد النصف (أبو عبداللطيف)، القائد المحترف والمحترم الذي أثّر في نظرتي إلى الصحافة حتى اليوم. واليوم، كان لي شرف لقائه بعد فوزه بجائزة “الشخصية الإعلامية لعام 2026” في قمة الإعلام العربي بدبي.

Maroun Bedran, l’ambition d’un journalisme arabe qui refuse le retard
Maroun Bedran ne se résume pas à un parcours professionnel. Il incarne une manière de penser les médias à un moment où le journalisme est contraint de redéfinir ses frontières, ses outils et sa relation avec le public.
Ce qui distingue sa trajectoire, c’est moins l’accumulation d’expériences que la cohérence d’une vision. Celle d’un journaliste qui refuse d’opposer la rigueur éditoriale à l’innovation, la culture de l’information à la technologie, ou encore la profondeur à la vitesse.
Chez lui, le numérique n’est pas un décor moderne ajouté au journalisme. Il devient une manière de repenser la circulation de l’information, la construction de l’audience, l’usage des données, le rapport aux plateformes et désormais à l’intelligence artificielle.
Mais l’essentiel est ailleurs.
Maroun Bedran appartient à ceux qui considèrent que le journalisme arabe n’a pas vocation à observer les transformations mondiales depuis la périphérie. Il peut les comprendre, les absorber, les réinterpréter et surtout y répondre avec ses propres standards d’exigence.
C’est là que son parcours prend une dimension plus large.
Il défend, par la pratique comme par la pensée, l’idée que les rédactions arabes peuvent rivaliser avec les plus avancées du monde lorsque la passion du métier rencontre la qualité, la discipline, l’apprentissage rapide et l’innovation.
Sa singularité tient précisément à cette tension maîtrisée : aller vers la technologie sans céder à sa fascination, écouter les données sans leur abandonner le jugement, comprendre les plateformes sans leur livrer l’autorité éditoriale.
Maroun Bedran représente ainsi une génération qui ne cherche plus à rattraper son époque.
Elle cherche à la comprendre assez profondément pour participer à la définir.
