The most beautiful things in life aren't things. They're people, places, memories, pictures. They're feelings, moments, smiles & laughter

📰EXTRA. EXTRA. Woman refuses to settle. Starts over. Accidentally falls in love with her own life.

Apparently all I needed was writing therapy, a few plane tickets, some questionable life decisions, and an unreasonable amount of audacity.

❤️ Love you. Now go become the headline.

Why the hell not. A little bit of delusional optimism will get you out of your stinky mind thinking. Make delusional optimism your super power 🦸🏻‍♀️

Celebrating bold decisions and the moment I decided to enter my era of “hell yeah” audaciousness.

Six years ago, almost to the day (25th) I left everything I knew and moved where I knew no one into a house I picked sight unseen. Drove 2 days to get there with Churchill and a U-Haul trailer and woke up to mountain views out my window. I had visited once and felt homesick. I missed it so much that I move 6 weeks later.

In case you were looking for a sign today that you should do something scary but good for you, please let me be it.

That one decision has had a positive ripple effect in my life. It’s crazy how that works.

I don’t know the words to @jamiemiller new song. But that didn’t keep me from wanting to dance to it!

🎶 Darling *Montana … it’s you. I’ve looked up at a whole galaxy of stars but none of them has ever made me feel this way!!! Montana it’s true… when I looked at you, I swear the whole world stopped and all the stars did too. There ain’t nothing better than I can do than to spend my whole life looking at you. taken in Bozeman, Montana by @marquettbrewster

Churchill stole my ♥️ And more than his side of the bed. He is a great hiking buddy. Not so much fishing - I think he secretly makes fun of me. He literally watched 👀 me chase my rod down the river one day when I cast my line and the rod went with it. He’s a retriever for goodness sakes!

He has been with me on my adventures the last 6 years. My wingman. Love ya lil buddy. taken in Bozeman, Montana by @marquettbrewster

Ousel Falls in Big Sky, MT - Churchill loved it!

This is a great little leisurely hike through a heavily wooded trail with the creek and various falls to play in all along the way. Really love it in the summer time because I can take my shoes off and cool off in the water.

Let’s go fishing on the Gallatin and chat while I lose a couple of flies. 🎣 I’m still not sure why I call it fishing. That feels wildly optimistic. 😂

It was a gorgeous day to be standing in a river. I know how blessed I am to have this life. I actually chose it.

And yes, I will remember… the 21st day of September… taken in Bozeman, Montana by @marquettbrewster

Part 2 Yellowstone.

Stopped in at the Canyon Lake Visitors center. Eating, shopping, lodging and information on the park in the little village. Where I was standing was inside the edge of the volcanic crater that is Yellowstone. 🤯

The wildlife was elusive but we did see elk, bison, coyote and eagles. We drove by a bubbling hot spring. Not even kidding, it was the same ones leaving as when I entered. If you want to see wildlife on a day like this patience and talking to rangers about sitings helps.

Ended the day with dinner out on Hebgen Lake at Happy Hour. A local favorite with fond memories of my own there. Also a signed dollar of mine stapled to the ceiling. Known for their moonshine, crab legs and two infamous walls of Polaroids one of exposed tatas and another wall with Polaroids of naked moonbums. 😂 all faceless And no I’m not on it. 😉

Summers in Montana are magical. ⛰️

Love you ♥️💋

YNP is Huuuuuge. So we chased waterfalls for the day.

Yellowstone National Park size :
2,221,766 acres
3,472 square miles
About 63 miles north to south and 54 miles east to west
96% Wyoming, 3% Montana, 1% Idaho with 5 separate entrances.

So a game plan going into the park helps.

There are geysers (not just Old Faithful) and hot springs. Wild life. Hiking Trails and all the falls. There is fishing. Camping. And biking in the park. There are a couple of museums that are newer to the park. Restaurants. Hotels and souvenir shops. Ranger stations for guided tours too.

Having been through the park several times and still missing out on some of YNPs features the plan was to go chasing water falls. Which was an all day event. There is some hiking involved and driving to the various observation areas. It was well worth it. And the weather cooperated! About 70 degrees and sunshine. Gorgeous day made for even more gorgeous scenery. Notice the rainbows the mist of the falls make

Now if wildlife is what you are interested in sometimes Yellowstone just decides to show off. A herd of bison might block the road and eyeball you from the comfort of your front seat. A moose might grace you with an appearance. Bears are a little more elusive, and spotting a coyote or wolf out on the grasslands takes a good eye—and usually a little patience. taken in Yellowstone National Park by @marquettbrewster
