Been quiet on here recently, having fallenout of love with Meta ... but I am still making jewellery! Currently working on Term 3 of @jewellersacademy Diploma in Fine Jewellery. Learning how to make filigree! Will let you see what it looks like - seems very fiddly 😊

Back home after a lovely break out west in Assynt, north west Scottish Highlands 😊 We had one gorgeous weather day ☀️ We visited Knockan Crag - fascinating geology! Then over to the glorious Achmelvich beach. My daughter kindly collected some beautiful textures for me on the far beach that I couldn't manage the scramble down to (due to ongoing balance issues) 🥰 And one beautiful sunset 🌅

Term 2 of the @jewellersacademy Diploma in Fine Jewellery is underway! Stone setting in wax - using my gorgeous new tools kindly gifted to me by @the_third_aye 😍 Lots of wee 3mm czs and a few ideas including a North Star pendant. I'm enjoying this! Pave-style and channel-like settings coming soon ...

Last year I took a great opportunity to step out of daily life to focus on my jewellery business with a group of jewellers @jewellersacademybrighton

Such a fantastic few days that included a walking tour around Brighton's jewellery quarter, workshops on photography skills, emails, social media and business vision, mini photoshoot, 1 to 1 mentoring session and a delicious afternoon tea to round it off. I met some lovely people and really enjoyed the trip away and took the chance to see some old friends and their new puppy. And a lovely sunny welcome home 😊

These gorgeous 9ct yellow gold stud earrings were a joy to make for a very special birthday recently 🥰

I do love working in gold and hope to do more of that in the future 😊 If someone would like to commission a large gold pendant with this Scots Pine texture and a few wee Cairngorm quartz gemstones scattered through it, I would be very happy to make it!
