POSTS STORIES REELS

A huge thank you to @arrowmont_school for bringing me on as a resident this past year, and to everyone who came out to see our show!

I feel so grateful that so much of the work found homes with amazing individuals 🙌 🙏 🩷. Truly blown away by your support.

If you weren't able to see the show in person here are all the pieces that were in the Gallery!

I learned so much from this work and the other artists in residence.

....first time making wall tiles
A mirror
Fish wallhangings
Lighting ... and so much more

I have officially moved back to Indianapolis for a bit while I process all the events of the past year.
🩷
If you see me out an about , please say Hi (and help me out because I'm bad with names.)

I'm so excited for what is coming down the road. Thank y'all for being here and constantly inspiring and supporting my journey. Couldn't do it without ya!

Talk soon! by @marretmetzger

I am so grateful to be featured in the September /October issue of @potterymakingillustrated

I was asked to write a process article, so during my time @redlodgeclaycenter2 this past February and March, I was able to spend time making more elaborate work.

This article takes you through the creation of this Wetland Vase.
*Here are some details that I wanted to share with you.

Wetland vase is inspired by time spent @eaglecreekpark_indy
I am super happy that it found a home with a lovely couple in Indianapolis!

I am excited to see where this direction takes me.
in the meantime I’ve been carving non stop to get inventory for craft fairs. I can’t wait to see you this summer!

Whenever I make a series for fall or Halloween it ends up being my favorite... I lean into night time, the magical feeling of creating, ✨️ the last garden harvest, and the transition to crisp fall air. With the addition of some Mayco liner glazes I was hoping to add an essence of magic back into the work... hoping to bring more of it into your life 🌠.

Here is a little taste of my favorite pots from this last shop update and the inspiration behind the work. (Most of it coming from my parents property).

Packages are being shipped out today and tomorrow with the hopes that you will receive them before Halloween!🎃

You all continue to amaze me with your kindness ✨️ and support for me and my work. Feeling incredibly greatful for my friends and family that encouraged my creativity in childhood.
Thank you 💚

Looks like people enjoyed the incense holders..? Do we want more of those? by @marretmetzger

Fall update coming to my website this Tuesday!
October 20th at 6:30 pm EST 🍂🍁🦗🦉

There will be a lot of mugs and a few insense holders, as well as some pieces I brought to the Michiana pottery tour last month.

This group of carvings embody the transition from summer to fall, day to dusk, and the last bit of harvest before winter. One of my favorite feelings is the crisp fall air on my skin ✨️ helping me feel more alive during the changing season, and a cup of hot chocolate hits that much better. ☕️

A little hyperlapse carving video for a great horned owl mug.🦉🦉 My favorite thing about carving owls is how intense they can look.
