We met at 18, long before either of us knew where this life would take us.

Through degrees, careers, raising our girls, building dreams, ministry, losses, wins, and all the becoming in between, you have been the one constant I can come home to.

You knew Kim before the “Dr.,” before the titles, before any of it.

And after all these years, when life gets heavy, when the world asks for so much of me, or when I simply need somewhere to lay it all down... I still run to you.

Because before you were my husband, you were my friend. And somewhere along the way, you became home.

The enemy tried to steal our marriage so many times… BUT GOD!!!

On the day I married my best friend, I could not have known all that life would ask of us. I didn’t know every mountain we would have to climb, every storm we would have to weather, or every moment when our love, our faith, and our commitment would be tested.

There were times when what God joined together came under attack. Times when it would have been easier to walk away than to fight for us. Times when the enemy tried to convince us that what was broken could not be restored.

BUT GOD.

God covered us. God kept us. God healed us. God matured us. And when we didn’t have enough strength of our own, grace carried us.

Today, I don’t just celebrate the day I married my best friend. I celebrate every day since that we have chosen each other. I celebrate the prayers nobody heard, the battles nobody saw, the forgiveness that made room for healing, and the love that became deeper because it survived something.

Marriage isn’t the absence of hard seasons. Sometimes the testimony is that you went through the fire and came out still holding hands.

And after all these years, through every high, every low, every lesson, every blessing, and every battle, I can still look at you and say…

I would choose you again.

The enemy tried.

BUT GOD has the final say.

Here’s to us. Here’s to YEAR 20. Here's to 20 more. Here's to the covenant. To the friendship. To the love. And to everything God still has ahead for us.

And just like that… I’m back at the airport!

Switched the luggage, grabbed my husband, and we’re off again. This time, we’re celebrating 20 YEARS OF MARRIAGE!

10 Cruises And A Whole Lot Of Fun
9 Combined Degrees (3 Doctoral)

2 Kids Raised (And We Did A Pretty Good Job...)
A new son in love - SS (and one on the way 😉 - AJ)

Sometimes a song brings back more than memories. It brings people back together. ❤️

This song has been reuniting families for years, reminding us of the miles, the memories, the laughter, and the bond that time could never erase.

We just wish the reunion had come under different circumstances. 🕊️

But even in grief, there is something beautiful about coming back together, holding one another close, and remembering that once family, always family. ❤️🙏🏾

I waited a while to post because, quite honestly, posting made it all feel too real.

But this is real.

And somehow, I still can't make sense of it.

How can this be? We were literally just together in North Carolina, laughing, cuttin up, and celebrating Gracie's graduation. No one could have imagined that those moments, just last month, would become last memories so quickly as we now mourn the loss of you.

Clifton "Brad" Turner... my A1 since Day 1.

That old picture of us as kids at Grandma Ada"s house says it all. We were probably getting into something we had no business doing, laughing the whole time. Those moments are now among my most treasured memories.

So much I could say... but I won't.

Until we meet again, cousin.
