Many of you who know me well enough know that my birthday is coming up in a little less than 2 weeks. So when I sat down and thought about what I wanted most, I looked at the state of the world. I realized that what I wanted more than anything else was hope for the people who need it the most. How can I sit here living a privileged life (that I’m incredibly grateful for) and ask for things that are nice to have, when there are families, children, who don’t even have access to what they NEED to have. So this year, I’m asking the people around me to donate to my GoFundMe. All profits raised go to the IRC, who are working directly with Gaza’s citizens to provide food, water, shelter, psychological and medical care, and activities for young children. The link is in my bio and any and all amounts help. If you can’t donate, I ask you to please share this post or the link to the fundraiser. Knowing that these funds could help even one family in the middle of a war that they didn’t deserve or ask for would make me happier than words could express. Instead of spending money on me, please spend it on the people who need it immeasurably more than a privileged person such as myself could ever understand. The most beautiful soul reunited with the universe, today. Lucy, you were my childhood dog, the first pet I have the memory of bringing into our family. You were always so bright, full of energy and love. So much so that we started calling you “Goose” maybe even more than your own name because you were so “Lucy goosey”. Your spirit was never broken, it may have dimmed when you were struggling with your hardest moments, but your spirit never left. Months ago, we took you to the emergency vet and were told that you had a rare fungal disease and that if we hadn’t brought you in when we did, you would’ve passed in the next few days. But with lots of love, care, and resilience, you were back to your old self again in just a few months, like there was never a doubt in the world that you’d make it. Your heart was so full of love, that it grew too big, literally. Of course that’s how it’d happen, your love for every living thing too pure for this world. I’d like to believe that you got all the love you could ever need in this lifetime. That your heart was so full of the love we showed you and the love you showed us, that when it was time for you to rest, you did so knowing that we gave you the best life you could’ve had because you deserved nothing less. I remember when we first brought you home, and we learned that at your 2-3 years of age, there was a tag with your euthanasia date on you before the shelter rescued you. We are so thankful that they found you when they did, that loving you more than we could ever humanly express was made possible. We are so grateful that you chose our family, chose to grow up with my sibling and I, just as much as we chose you for our family. Rest now, my love. You did so amazing. You fought until you couldn’t possibly anymore and the suffering that you never deserved to experience has passed. We’re so proud of you, and are proud to have had the privilege to love and be loved by you. I already can’t wait to see you again and show you even more love, because time will stop before my love for you ever does, even if you’re not here to feel it anymore.

oh boy, where do i even get started on this trip… all the sights were incredible and getting to perform at Carnegie Hall was something out of a dream!! …but i’m never going on another group trip with this many ppl and this far away ever again🫠 that’s enough of NYC to last me the rest of my life, thank you💀 i can’t decide if my favorite part was the guy taking a shit on the street and then rolling over in it to take a nap right outside the place we were eating lunch (which had mostly floor-to-ceiling windows in place of walls) or the unexpected heat wave that caused me to almost pass out during an on-stage rehearsal before an adjudicated performance (there were like 10 others who dropped like flies because of it, not long after)😃 but besides all that and feeling like my feet were about to fall off because we never got more than like 30 mins to sit down and had 4-5 activities a day, starting at like 6-7am or sooner, (thanks WorldStrides, i’m *never* going on a trip with you involved again😃) there *were* of course perks and good times sprinkled in here and there :) (like the amount of times my roommates and i laughed at nothing at like 11pm in our tiny ass hotel room where we found something that was broken before we got there, on the daily) and before I get any comments telling me how grateful i should be, or hear from my mom that some of my relatives texted her telling her that they think i’m “ungrateful”, yes, i’m extremely grateful i got to go!! especially to my parents who payed the amount that they did (they *really* shouldn’t have, this wasn’t worth that money😭) to give me this opportunity, although i think i speak for many of us when i say that if we (students and chaperones alike💀) knew what we were actually signing up for (especially with the tour managers, who were in charge of planning and knowing the itinerary, asking the *chaperones* what were doing multiple times), the group number would’ve been much fewer than 80🥲 but hey, at least i get to say that i got to perform at Carnegie Hall in high school and have seen the Statue of Liberty, and got some good pictures and videos out of it😌 taken in New York City by @marsatmidnite

when u’ve been waiting for the day u could play “Dancing Queen” by Abba in the car (because ur finally 17) but ur family doesn’t get the reference or reason why ur playing it at all-💀

Anyway, have some of my favorite work/post work pics🖤 (don’t mind my puffy face in a lotta these, i got my wisdom teeth removed recently and the swelling hasn’t completely gone down😭)

Update: I’ve decided to remove the name of my sexual harasser from my story because I have received a sincere apology and the other details are explained in the last two slides that I spoke in. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support. You made my healing and this change possible.

I know this is a very long story, but I need you to know that if you support me and read all of this, you’re one of the reasons that I was able to push through and type this. For that, I thank you so much for hearing my voice and my story. It makes me so disgusted and upset beyond belief to think that there are far too many girls that have been sexually assaulted/harassed to a much worse degree than myself and may continue to be, to this day. If any of what I just said fits your description, I encourage you to come forward and tell your story or talk to someone about it and no matter what anyone ever tells you, remember that it’s not your fault. It never has been and never will be. If there’s anyone out there at all that’s reading this and needs to talk to someone about something like this or something completely different, I’m always here, no matter who you are or what I’m doing. Thank you for helping me with a big step in my healing process to discover my true value and who I truly am and am meant to become.
