Well, I can't believe that I've just had DNF'ed a book around page 280 with so much potential. LGBTQIAP+, music band and romance based, but I couldn't keep reading anymore. I don't mind what happens in the story at the end, I was wishing for it to end because I didn't connect in any moment with the book or characters, it felt very repetitive to me, I didn’t feel any real connection amongst the protagonists and it also felt like they were teens or something. It was starting to feel like a burden and it's the first time I have decided to abandon an ARC read, so I don't know about the consequences, but you know that I'm always honest with my reviews.

Thank you very much @bindery_books & @netgalley for the opportunity and the eARC. I'm really sorry that it wasn't for me this time.

Good morning! Who loves a 19th Century inspired thriller? Specially if the protagonist is a strong, witty character as in this case Clarissa Dainty who is trying to solve the murder of her friend.
I was surprised to find a female character with such a strong sense of justice, based on the era of the story, who is also very likeable and determined to find the truth.
I'm pretty sure she has the charisma and wisdom to be in more books in the future.
The only disadvantage that I had is that the book wasn't available to read on my Kobo and I had to read it on my phone, which sometimes made me disconnect a bit from the story.

I received an eARC of this book from @netgalley & @thomasnelsonfiction. Opinions expressed in this review are completely and honestly my own. Thank you for the opportunity!

Good morning! I'm pretty sure @fairyloot Young Adult September book has the best sprayed edges by far of all their 3 regular subscriptions. Do you agree with me?

This was September's Fairyloot Romantasy book and the redesign is so good that I didn't know which book it was. The hardcover is also stunning, don't you think? The only issue that I think everybody had was the sprayed edges and the use, once again of the colour purple.

Well, once again, I cannot believe that a horror book with so much potential and an incredible cover left me with this meh feeling. 2 stars read for me.

The premise of the book is really interesting, grave diggers, but I didn't feel any horror or basically any intrigue while reading it. So, maybe it's a me problem.
The story shifts between present and past and I struggled to stay engaged with the book. I also thought of DNFing it, but not sure how it works.

'𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆, 𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆.'

I can't believe that of the 5 ARCs that I have read (I've been rejected for many more) my favourite and only 5 star read has been the Manga one.

Thank you very much @netgalley and @dawbooks for the opportunity to read the eARC!

I think in September's Fairyloot books design choices this has been one of the most talked about because it felt a bit underwhelming, what's your opinion about it? I like the endpapers the most!

Well, another promising book with bunnies on its cover (some in the story too) a tempting description, but overall not a great read for me. I'm giving it 2 stars only, and I feel bad everytime this happens because it's supposed to be a horror story, but unfortunately for me I barely noticed it and it felt like a drama, a big one indeed.
In the book there are different point of views and different timelines as well at the same time. At the beginning of the story I had some 'The Eyes Are The Best Part' by Monika Kim vibes with the IV and the story also involving quite a lot of Korean culture, but I'm pretty sure that's the closest to horror that this book felt to me. I was expecting to keep liking it and get involved with the story, but once again, around the middle part I started to feel disconnected and I just finished it for review purposes.

'𝔾𝕙𝕠𝕤𝕥𝕤 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕗𝕣𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥𝕖𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘, 𝕓𝕦𝕥 𝕝𝕚𝕧𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕞𝕖𝕟 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕝 𝕕𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕖𝕣'.

Thank you @netgalley and @bindery_books for the ARC.
