HIDE-AND-SEEK MOMMY COVER REVEAL! 😬❤️ I can finally share the first book in this series I’ve been working on in the past months. From the moment I had this idea and through the whole development of this book I haven’t been able to hide a smile. Because I do play hide and seek at home all the time 😅❤️ but croqueta ALWAYS finds me. A fun and unusual take on lift-the-flap board books! That I think will be VERY relatable to many families 😂 “Featuring different mommies looking to take a breather from their rambunctious little ones, lift the sturdy flaps to reveal where each mommy is hiding. In the final scene, all the mommies have gotten together, and guess who’s hiding now?! Young readers will love spotting all the kids’ funny hiding places” So grateful with the amazing team at @abramskids it’s been amazing to work with Meredith and Melissa, who were so passionate about the project right from the beginning. I feel so lucky to have worked (and continue working) with them. I also feel very lucky to have @sallyanne_s by my side, super agent, super woman, who’s always so encouraging and enthusiastic ❤️❤️❤️ first of many projects together. It’ll publish in March 2026! More info on it SOON! #martaaltes #hideandseekmommy #abramsbooks #mothersdaygifts #hideandseekmommybook by @martaltes

🍉🕊️💔STOP KILLING CHILDREN. STOP KILLING PEOPLE 💔🕊️🍉 I feel like I’m not very good with words, and anything I write feels stupid but I’m angry, I’m horrified, I’m heartbroken with all the images I see coming from Palestine. How is this happening? How is this STILL happening?? How’s the people who can stop it not stopping it? 💔 . I created this image specially for @rise.raise.riso . We are raising money for @medicalaidpal ❤️ (link in my profile) by @martaltes

Again, lost for words on the current situation… 💔 gone to marches, spoken up here, donated and raised money… it all feels a bit helpless. 💔 but we keep trying 🕊️ This is the image I created specially for @rise.raise.riso ❤️ Check the link on my bio or @rise.raise.riso profile to see all the designs created by this wonderful group of illustrators 🕊️❤️ @melissa.castrillon @evaeland @sarahdyer_illustrator @ed_vere @flavia_zdrago @brunice @ehud.neuhaus @mauri.mendes @_beckypalmer @deenface and @yufrukt All printed in Amsterdam by the Riso Wizard that is @evaeland ❤️ Please, help us raise as much money as possible so we can help vital organizations that are working on the ground in Gaza. There are great prints to purchase, digital downloads ( and the option of simply donating a bit of money, every donation helps) and even if you can’t donate, please help us spread the word. Share our link ❤️❤️❤️ Rise.Raise.Riso is a group of 12 illustrators offering original Riso prints to raise awareness and funds for organisations and individuals doing vital work to support and stand in solidarity with persecuted and vulnerable people around the world. Last year we raised £10.000 for Medical Aid Palestine. Our second fundraiser is dedicated to three different on the ground organizations : Al-Jawad (@jawadcamp1), Gaza Little Lights (@gazalittlelights), and Grassroots Gaza (@grassroots_gaza) which are all Palestinian led initiatives that focus on supporting children and families in Gaza with direct aid. 100% of the profits of every sale will go to the organisations mentioned above. Help us reach our goal of raising as much as we can and support these vital organisations. by @martaltes

AD/PR The final (for now) instalment of my ‘Tiger Mondays’ mini-series, which has showcased three highlights of 2026. 🌿When a little (BIG) tiger cub welcomes a new sibling, they’re very quick to point out all the things they would NEVER do now they’re so grown up. Cuddles? Crying? Needing mum? Nope, nuh uh. 🌿When their new sibling wants to play, Big Tiger is in charge because they’re VERY mature, OK? So what will happen when they run into trouble? 🌿A GORGEOUS reminder that we’re never too old for cuddles, that it’s ok to ask for help, and that crying is absolutely not just ‘for babies’. I adore this expressive, funny little (big) cub), Marta’s use of perspective and colour (the orange, pink and purple really pop against the jungle greens) and the playful story. 🌿It’s bonkers to think, back when I bought a copy of Little Monkey in 2018, that the author would become a brilliantly supportive friend. I was looking forward to this one for months and it’s every bit as wonderful as its predecessor. 🌿The most purr-fect (or ROARsome) gift for a sibling-in-waiting, or for older siblings after the arrival of a new cub. #BigTigerBook is available now by @martaltes

Updated version of the drawings I did in 2024 and 2025. I’ll shrink a bit more each year but I won’t stop carrying her while I can. I LOVE hugging you my little croqueta! I can’t believe our little one is in school already. Lucky me I get to be her mama. She makes us laugh every single day. Sending big hugs to all families whose kids started reception a couple of weeks ago. ❤️🥹 by @martaltes

🤖’Brand new boy’ by @davidjohnalmond, illustrated by @martaltes is a book I have recently read and you’ll find it recommend on the year 4 @booksfortopics list. 🤖 There’s a brand new pupil called George, and Daniel soon finds himself sitting beside him in class. With best friend Maxie by his side, Daniel watches as George gives literal answers, stares into space and, rather bizarrely, even loses an ear in class! 🤖 The boy is surrounded by mystery, and it’s clear there’s something very unusual about him. Miss Crystal follows him everywhere, scribbling notes, while Daniel’s mum runs a salon called ‘The New You’ - a wonderfully fitting detail for a story all about being new and different. 🤖 The boy is whisked away in a black van at the end of the school day, but the mystery doesn’t last for long. When the children discover what makes George so special, they don’t turn away from him, instead, they decide to help him, leading to an unexpected rescue mission. 🤖 The story’s ending wasn’t what I was expecting…although sad, it was better than I anticipated! #middlegrade #yearofreading by @martaltes

Testing the algorithm… a dog pic gets more reach than a book. Does a dog reading a book reach the same than a dog on their own?? Look who I caught reading the new book from my Hide and Seek series??? @littlesamthedog also approves! 🎅🏼😅 check my latest reel to see more details of the book! 😬❤️ #hideandseeksanta @abramskids @abramschronicle @abramschronicletrade by @martaltes

My posts and stories don’t get seen by many people. Maybe because I haven’t been very active here lately? Who knows. So here’s a few photos of our little Sam the dog. @littlesamthedog to see if our beloved algorithm likes it better? 🤷🏻‍♀️ *** it’s working… the algorithm likes Sam. SO, be ready, tomorrow will post a pic of him reading my new book Hide and Seek Santa 🎅🏼🌟🤣 by @martaltes

MERRY CHRISTMAS! 🎅🏼 Hide and Seek Santa came out yesterday! And apologies in advance, but I’ll probably post a lot about it in the next few weeks. Why? Well, because I’m excited about my first Christmas book, and because it’s made the harshest book reviewer laugh, my daughter! She thinks it’s SO SILLY! And so do I! And I LOVE it. I hope it makes you smile and you like it too! 🎅🏼💚 Published by @abramskids ❤️ @abramschronicletrade 🎄 @abramschronicle 🎄 @sallyanne_s 🌟 @internationalcreativeagency 🌟 #martaaltes #christmasbook #hideandseeksanta #hideandseekbook #kidlitart by @martaltes
