In honour of my first courgette here is a look back at my first spring growing veg 🌱

I started because I saw an Instagram ad for @pot.gang and thought that’s a hobby that will get me outside! Little did I know how much joy it would bring me 💚

Had a few setbacks, Zeus knocked over my seedlings, trying to find a way to stake my tomatoes, killed my first round of spring onions, got a bunch of aphids on my plants when they went outside… but that is part of the journey!

It’s got me outside, got me talking to my neighbours, got me meeting other people who love gardening at uni and trying to start a society, and friends now send me photos of their seedlings and even some seeds🥹

So here’s to my golden courgettes, cherry tomatoes, spring onions, red peppers, cucamelons, basil, sugar snap peas, cucumbers, oregano and artichokes 🥂 by @martashobbies

It was love at first sight with this pasta. It did not disappoint. It was massive, the ridges helped the sauce stay on, it flattened so it held my sauce on top of it, like tiny pasta plates. The sauce went inside too so you had the perfect bite every time. I can’t put into words how good this pasta shape is. It has a well deserved 9/10. It only lost a point for some of it breaking once cooked. But to be fair I may have been too harsh with my scoring. It was truly a delight! by @martashobbies

One of this years goals is to try a new pasta shape each month. February’s was, of course, heart shaped pasta.
As excited as I was to have it, it only scored a 6.5/10. Most of those points are due to its fun shape. I love a themed object. However, most of the hearts fell apart which left me with odd tiny bits of pasta which I didn’t enjoy and compromised its sauce holding capabilities 💖🍝 by @martashobbies
