The design - a year of ideas brought to life. We wanted our wedding to feel inspired by our travels through France, while also incorporating elements of interior design that feel personal to us. Antique pots, stone bowls, linen pillows and styling books were layered throughout the space to give it a collected, lived-in feel. A palette of olive green, warm beige, black and natural wood, softened with ivory draping, made everything feel intimate, cozy and romantic. And of course, that olive tree!

Photographing in peak summer just looks so good on film. I love how all these 35mm images turned out from Meghan and Rowan’s wedding at Martin Estates. We had such deep blue skies and really rich greens mixed with direct summer light that made everything look so golden and bright.

These are exactly the kinds of days that make me love shooting film so much.

Yesterday was one of those wedding days you wish you could hit pause on.

After 18 months of planning together, watching Rowan & Meg simply soak in every moment was the greatest reward. They trusted the process from the very beginning, and because of that, they were able to spend the day exactly where they belonged—with each other and surrounded by the people who love them most.

Every detail reflected them so beautifully. A romantic Tuscan-inspired design. Custom stationery featuring sketches illustrated by Meg’s mom. The most breathtaking florals. A ceremony officiated by Rowan’s dad. And the sweetest ending to the night… sneaking upstairs with a box of pizza to enjoy a quiet moment together before the celebrations came to a close.

These are the days that remind me why I do what I do. Not because everything is picture-perfect (though this one certainly came close), but because when thoughtful planning meets incredible people, there’s room for the moments that can’t be planned—the laughter, the happy tears, the hugs, and the memories that will last forever.
