RESURGENCE

Freerider Martina Müller survives an avalanche that dragged her over a 20-meter cliff. Her biggest challenge is confronting her fears and finding her way back onto skis.

text in film: „Martina Müller was caught in an avalanche while freeriding. She fell approximately 20 meters over a rock face. Her spine had to be surgically stabilized with 15 screws and two metal rods. Nearly a year later, the implants could be removed. Thanks to intensive physical rehabilitation and ongoing mental recovery, she took her first steps back onto skis on November 18, 2023. Since then, she’s been back on skis – step by step.“

You know that snow,

That super light crispy snow, just after a proper snowfall with no wind at just the right temperature. So fluffy you're afraid to touch it, because it might crumble. This was that type of snow. And @martinamueller was no where near afraid to touch it.

Got humbled about 6 times in the last two weeks 😅
The cherry on top was this weekend’s adventure: an exposed multi-pitch with loose rocks and a little alpine touch to it.

Definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone, but topping out felt pretty damn good. taken in Musenalp by @martinamueller

Andørja felt like the Norway I had always imagined. Wild, raw and untouched.
An incredible place to ski and explore in winter. I’d absolutely love to come back in summer and see the same landscapes on a hike.

Very stoked to see @norronaadventure growing and the Lodge opening already in 2027!
