•Street food is fun. For some.•

We live in strange times. Nights out with friends, good food, laughter. And just a few steps away, someone else is spending their night very differently.

@vagus_sk has been helping people without a home for years — quietly with a kind of commitment that never fades. After working with them repeatedly, I’ve come to deeply admire their consistency and heart.

So when @jakub_kuvik from @muwsaatchi called with the latest script, there wasn’t much to think about.

This film is built on contrast. On how one city can hold completely different worlds at the same moment. With DOP @martinchlpik we wanted the visuals to reflect exactly that — the joy of a carefree night, followed by the sudden stillness of reality.

Thanks to the support of @hitchhiker_films we had the freedom to shape that contrast fully.

In the first part, we leaned into the energy — handheld shots, body-mount, photo sequences, jump ccuts, matching cuts, objects’ POVs, even a camera rolling in a barrel. Playful visuals for a playful moment.

And then, with one final match cut, everything slows down. The frame becomes steady. The silence grows heavier. Suddenly, the distance between “us” and “them” becomes painfully small.

Sometimes all it takes is one cut to see, how different things can become.

•Didn’t expect that again?!•

What could go wrong when you make an unfortunate decision online? Actually — quite a lot.

Last year, we had the chance again to work on a new campaign for our global – yet Slovak – client, ESET. A series of three short formats with simple but entertaining storytelling and strong visuals.

My goal was to build up the story’s pace fast — starting small with one click and letting it grow big in a short amount of time. Each frame needed to feel memorable and the action clear, while still keeping everything understandable and fun to watch.

We decided to do all the trick shots in camera:
Flying objects pulled on nylons and strings through a hollow monitor frame.
A puppeteer moving the notebook like a puppy through a hole in the table.
A moving light source. Wind blowers and fans to simulate the suction effect.
And lots of plate shots. A lot.

This one was pure fun!

I’ve always loved shooting comedy. It’s such a shame how short-lived they usually are. So, here are a few frames to help me remember the most memorable ones. by @martinchlpik

Director’s cut of a commercial for Orange with a nice road trip vibe, capturing the funny love-hate relationship between a dad and his daughter. All topped off with a great plot twist at the end. Thanks so much to everyone for this ride! 🧡

We created an interesting connection of heavy manual work in the modern world, where the 3D world helped us. It was a ride! We created numerous ideas, designed numerous locations, but in the end we ended up with a quarry, with our own custom-made shooting range.

The guys from @sorrywecan did a great job! They modelled a 3D model of the holster, created simulations, detailed animations, lighting and a beautiful camera. @adamterlanda @drnptz @stubyshit @ttomasdvorak

Thank you to the entire production and producer team @eduardbartek @dominikxszombath @saraantal @about_sosi @_dsdiana_ , @juraj.izdinsky , as well as the agency @zaraguzask

Great creative support @rolandwranik !

@martinchlpik for his super creative eye, super lighting and support!

The music was provided by maestro @oliverfillner , who gave the spot the right cinematic touch and great sound design!

Custom shooting range and craft part, created by @robsebesta with his crew @zofinkaaa and @filipsebe in the quarry

Superb costumes @nataliauhr

Last but not least, big thanks to the whole team!
