So happy to be back in Canada! Weather is so nice. Inside and outside. It was too hot everywhere in Japan. I needed my neck fan in summer and winter.
Here i can wear a thin jacket in the mall by @martinheyyo

This was a great place in Ginza. I was here on my layover to Canada. It was on the fifth floor of a toy store. Tokyo is very nice.

It took some time to get there from Narita Airport. But the entrance was so nice. I was greeted by a nice woman who asked me if I spoke Chinese or English. She spoke both. It was cool to talk to her. I said I had a tight schedule so they brought out the delicious salad. It was the 6500 yen course.

There was a beef sashimi and wagyu beef that had to be cooked with onions and a pepper and mushroom.

It was very delicious. Every bite. The egg soup was excellent as well. At the end, I got some premium vanilla ice cream and some coffee that I had to use a whisk for after mixing in brown sugar and premium cream.

The meat tasted so delicious and it's from Hiroshima. You also get a nice private room with amazing waitresses to serve you in a timely manner.

北新地鮨天ぷらいわい

This was in Osaka in Kita Shinchi.

The sushi was very delicious. The chef had worked there for many years. I really enjoyed the hospitality. There was an English menu. I drank premium ginger ale and hot green tea.

There was a variety of delicious sushi. This was worth 10000 yen in the business district of Osaka.

The custard pudding and dessert were nice. The interior was beautiful and the chef was very attentive. It was very comfortable and the staff were so nice.

I enjoyed eating the sushi that was cooked and prepared in front of me. Eating with my fingers means that it is the higher end sushi.

I do recommend that people traveling to Osaka to walk in this area. I have lived in Japan for ten years and didn't really walk around that area until today. The underground shopping area has been revamped too. It's near Kita Shinchi station and a great place to try sushi. Please go if you have time! by @martinheyyo

#nagumo. This is next to Osaka Station. I tried their nice mackeral sushi, grapefruit juice, tempura, and some eel wrapped around rice and seaweed. I think the value is 5000 yen.

It has a nice small interior and an upstairs that I didn't get to go to.

The staff are friendly. There is a QR code you can use to order food and drinks. It can be translated into English. There were no pictures on the ordering menu though.

I think you need permission to use the restroom. I didn't know my course was over until I asked. I like that the staff let you enjoy the food with no pressure. There was a fan on the floor that you could turn on if it got too warm.

It's a nice cozy bar for people to hang out at. I think great for couples. Price might go up fast if you order many drinks. They played great music and interior was nice and clean. Staff were professional and friendly. A nice sliding door to enter and had a great atmosphere. This is a nice place to chill at if you are with friends or on a date. by @martinheyyo

This is a hidden gem performance. It costs 9600 yen for a ninety minute show. The host Sawa is proficient at English and at answering questions from the audience. I don't know where to start because this was fun to watch

It was catered completely to foreigners. All staff spoke English. I was greeted by foreign staff before the show.

You can buy snacks and drinks to watch. The host spoke about the history with a PowerPoint slide and introduced sumo in a very easy to understand way.

They then brought out two sumo wrestlers who were retired and did all the rituals like throw salt, workout and more.

The host explained everything. I must say the room temperature was nice and cool. Usually in Japan, it is too hot but they know foreigners like cool and comfortable.

They did one real round of sumo. They later allowed up to 8 viewers to participate in training and even wrestle. This was really fun to see the audience dress up and wrestle. The wrestlers let them win or won the first one. The sumo wrestlers then took Q&A and also let everyone take a picture with them.

This was very educational. They explained the rankings and how sumo shows sell out in 24 hours so this was a great introduction to sumo and it's located a few stops from Namba. They have mastered how to keep the show interesting and educational. The host was great at interacting with the viewers getting them to cheer Yoshio and Gambare.

If you come to Osaka, I think you definitely need to experience something like this. You will take a great experience home like you never had before.

I did not go up to wrestle or practice with them but it was fun watching. Family members who watched their friend or family go up also had a blast taking photos and video during the show. Very well done and innovative! by @martinheyyo

This is a great new restaurant that opened on 8/8/2026.
しゃぶしゃぶすき焼き食べ放題和牛と豚天六・天満店

I was given the 9000 yen dish which had either the sukiyaki or shabunshabu. I did choose the sukiyaki.

The meat was extremely delicious. They had a meat cutting machine. Lots of drinks and a ton of great side dishes.

The staff were professional, friendly, and served me as soon as I ordered something from their mobile app website. As soon as an order is made, they receive a receipt and they do their best to fulfill their order. The young female staff were really nice and friendly.

The chefs were really good as well.

The vegetables and meat were of high quality. I was quite full. I also tried their potato salad which was excellent and their variety of drinks. They offered alcohol and non alcohol. I can't drink much so I got the mango juice.

I also tried the French fries and matcha ice cream which were also great.

It was an abundant amount of meat. Honestly it was a great experience and the food was excellent, so I highly recommend checking out this place if you want to try some great tasting meat.

It's kind of in the heart of Osaka and you need to go to a train station in Osaka to find it in a shopping arcade.

I ate some good croquette with filling meat. The drink was really delicious with yogurt, milk, lots of frozen fruit. I had some deep fried beef strips that tasted really good. If you're hungry, this will hit the spot and you'll enjoy a great meal near Shinsekai in Osaka.

It's a street stall. I didn't get to try the fries they had but they have many choices of food for a pretty good price. You will be full, and ready to explore the rest of Osaka after eating there, so please check it out when you have time. by @martinheyyo
