POSTS STORIES REELS

✨ It’s official – my book The Spy Who Loved to Have a Drink is now live on Amazon!

After months of reading, writing, editing, late-night martinis and early-morning coffees… it’s finally out in the world.

A literary dive into the drinks James Bond, his friends, enemies, and lovers enjoy in the original Ian Fleming novels – from Americanos to martinis and everything in between. Plus a list of all the real world bars where Bond had a drink in the novels and are still open today.

If you love Bond, cocktails, or a good dose of trivia, this one is for you.

📚🍸 Cheers and thank you all for the support!

📦 It’s here.
The first physical proof copy of The Spy Who Loved to Have a Drink — my book on the drinks, moods and moments of the literary Bond world of the original Fleming novels.

From a Negroni in Rome to Sake in Tokyo, from café culture to champagne seduction — this project has been one hell of a cocktail.

Now it’s real. And soon after the final edits, it’ll be available on Amazon 🍸📖

Xenia Onatopp loves her twists. So do I. 🍸😉🍋

One of those legendary 007 moments from Die Another Day (2002), with Pierce Brosnan delivering yet another classic Bond line:
“And if there's any left, a '61 Bollinger.”

While Bollinger has become Bond's champagne of choice on the big screen, Ian Fleming's literary 007 actually had a different favourite — Taittinger! 🥂

Another reminder that the Bond of the books and the Bond of the films don't always share the same drinking habits.

Some things may get wet. The martini must remain dry. 🍸

One of those wonderfully Bondian moments from Never Say Never Again:
“How reckless of me. I made you all wet.”
“Yes, but my martini’s still dry.”

Priorities, Mr. Bond. Priorities. 😎🍸

Happy James Bond Day! 🍸

Celebrate properly — with a proper drink and even better company.

Cheers, 007! 🥂

So happy to finally receive the latest @007gbclub magazine — and incredibly proud to have my article published in this issue! 🍸📖

“Beyond ‘Shaken, Not Stirred’ — The Literary James Bond’s Drinks: A Far More Varied Selection Than We Ever See on Screen”

In the article, I explore the drinking world of Ian Fleming’s literary James Bond — a world far richer and more varied than the famous “shaken, not stirred” martini might suggest. A subject very close to my heart — and, of course, closely connected to my book The Spy Who Loved to Have a Drink. 🥃🍸

A huge thank you also to the magazine editor @simonjamesfirth for giving me the opportunity to contribute to Issue 004.

Got my signed copy of King Zero by Charlie Higson! 📖🍸

And, completely unexpectedly, ended up taking part in a James Bond quiz. What a fun evening — talking Bond, testing my 007 knowledge, and meeting some fellow Bond fans along the way.

A Bond fan finds a Red Stripe even in Oxford. 🍺🇯🇲

Just had one of the coldest Martinis in London at the lovely Hawksmoor Martini Bar. 🍸

What a place — great ambience and even better drinks. A proper House Martini with Ford’s Gin @fordsgin , poured straight from the freezer. Ice cold, silky smooth and absolutely spot on.

This is how a Martini should be served. 👌🍸
