As the year keeps slipping by at full speed, the beginning of the live season is suddenly right there on the horizon again. And somehow, it already feels different.With @watt_en_schlick_fest and @kulturzelt_kassel , two new places have quietly found their way onto the map this year — and I honestly can’t wait to arrive there with all of this music.For autumn, more than half the tickets in the first cities are already gone. And slowly, that familiar feeling returns. This slight tingling in my hands. Als mir bewusst wurde, dass ich jemanden brauche, der klug und fundiert genug ist, mir die richtigen Fragen zu stellen, um sowohl das, was ich tue, als auch das neue Album besser zu verstehen, war sofort klar, wen ich anrufen muss.Markus und ich kennen uns schon länger, wir haben uns immer wieder ausgetauscht und über Musik gesprochen – 2017 haben wir sogar schon einmal mein Album Strom auseinandergenommen. Deshalb wusste ich: Es geht nur mit ihm!Es ist mir eine riesige Ehre, dass er – die Legende @markus_kavka !!! – diesem Experiment zugestimmt hat und diese Idee gemeinsam mit uns umsetzt.Wir werden dieses Gespräch hier nach und nach mit euch teilen, und ich freue mich unendlich darauf, euch die Geschichten hinter der Musik zu erzählen. The last four days felt like three different parts of my life quietly finding each other — after years of work — and then unfolding all at once, like falling dominoes.Something new opened.I had the chance to compose the score for a deeply moving film by @helenahufnagel and @fabihalbig . It carries a story that feels more than important and is so so close to the heart. I still can’t quite believe that it will be in cinemas on November 19. Being at the world premiere of Agnes & Amir and feeling the emotional weight of it… and knowing I could give it a musical soul… means more to me than I can put into words.At the same time, I was allowed to open the 43rd Munich Film Festival. Manchmal sagen Bilder mehr als Worte. Ich denke, die Fotos des 1. Yesterday was the release party for my album Kluft with nearly 100 of the beautiful people who have been part of this project over the years. We listened to the album together in 5.1 surround sound at a cinema and celebrated properly afterwards. The music is now out in the world — I still can’t quite believe how lucky I am to have such wonderful humans by my side.
