I’ve never done one of these before, but thought it would be fun for y’all to get to know me a little if you don’t already! It was also an excuse to draw a new illustration of myself 🫣

Today, we celebrate an extraordinary milestone, 250 years of the American story.

To mark this occasion, I wanted to share a piece I created for the latest episode of @greatbattlesforboystv on @angel . Inspired by the iconic raising of the flag at Iwo Jima, this artwork honors the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit of the men who fought for something greater than themselves.

I’m incredibly grateful to call this country home, and it’s an honor to play a small part in helping the next generation discover the stories that shaped our nation through this series.

As we celebrate today, may we remember those who came before us, cherish the freedoms we’ve been given, and continue striving to leave our country stronger for those who come after us.

Happy Fourth of July, America! 🇺🇸

Portrait color study

Sometimes I need to slow down and step back from my work and do a quick warm up. This one was fun to do and study the colors in the face and play around with painting techniques.
