9/16/2020 — 6 years since the day our lives changed forever. 🤍 You came into my life scared, guarded, and carrying so much hurt. I loved you, gave you space, and trusted God to guide us. 🙏🏼 Watching you grow from a 🐛 into the beautiful 🦋 you are today has been one of the greatest joys of my life. We’ll always carry a little piece of our journey with us—a tattoo we share, a reminder of who we are. A mother and daughter by choice, by love, and by an unbreakable bond. I couldn’t be more proud of the woman you are. Know I’ll always be beside you—loving you, supporting you, and believing in you. Never forget how far we’ve come and how deeply you are loved. Love you 3,000 💖 by @martitadelgado70
grateful for this special time with my favorite person 💕 until next time, Sitka ✨ by @martitadelgado70
7 years… 365 weeks, 2,555 days, 61,320 hours, 3,679,200 minutes without you. 💔 7 years in, I see grief in such a different way. I remember those first years when I wanted to wear my “W” like a badge of honor. I needed the world to know how deeply I loved you and how deeply I hurt. But my grief isn’t as painful anymore, and I no longer need to wear it like that. 7 years in, I’m so grateful you gave me the FREEDOM to live fully in this second half of my life—because you knew how much I had given up in the first. 7 years in, I’ve made peace with the things we didn’t get to do. Now I get to do them all without you… but you are never far away. 7 years in, I’m ready for the next chapter of my book. I love you. I miss you. And I carry you in the very fabric of who I am. FOREVER 🪽💙🤟 Te Amo, Cuki by @martitadelgado70
7/11/2022 - 4 years since we became “legal”. ❤️ Looking through our pictures from the last six years reminded me just how much we’ve experienced together in such a short period of time. We’ve been through the growing pains of your first year with me, then the growing pains of sending you off to college. I’ve had the privilege of watching you earn both your undergraduate and master’s degrees. Along the way, we’ve gotten matching tattoos, traveled to so many places, worked through existential crises, danced in our kitchen, watched friends come and go, argued, made up, and most importantly, kept making memories—together. I feel incredibly blessed to have been able to help make some of your lifelong dreams come true and create opportunities for you to chase your goals. Always together. As much as I miss being needed the way I once was, what an incredible joy it is to watch you make your own decisions and carve your own path. Know that you’ll always have my unwavering love and support. Seeing you live life to the fullest tells me I’ve done my job—and done it well. Here’s to many more years of growing together honey. I love you beyond words and beyond measure. Until my last breath… RIDE OR DIE. Love you 3,000. 🤟 Happy Adoption Day. ❤️ by @martitadelgado70
shortly after 1:29pm June 3rd, our Luna crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She was Amanda’s puppy, and later, mom’s faithful companion for the last 15 and a half years. Luna loved car rides, sunshine, Amanda‘s belly rubs, and just being around us. The last 15 years have been filled with travel, adventure, and lots of love. I am so glad we were able to celebrate your Quinceañera. Everyone thought you were a puppy because of your rambunctious and Divalicious nature. How fitting that Adele was playing in the background while you drifted away from us peacefully. What a beautiful ending to an amazing life… The last video on this post is how I’d like to imagine you crossing the Rainbow Bridge: with your head outside the window, feeling the wind in your face like you loved. How I’ll remember you… The house feels so empty without you. Safe travels our beautiful Diva. We love you. ❤️ by @martitadelgado70
Masters of Science in Health Psychology…. My ❤️ bursting with pride. Another Dream realized. Sorrounded by Love. Because it truly takes a village. And this is just a small piece of OUR TRIBE. You know who you are. You helped us get HERE. How lucky are we?!?!?! Music has always connected Amanda & I. And on a recent solo drive this song came on and made me think of us and how there’s anything I wouldn’t do for you, Amanda. Marvin & Tammi said it best: “Listen, baby Ain’t no mountain high Ain’t no valley low Ain’t no river wide enough, baby If you need me, call me No matter where you are No matter how far Just call my name I’ll be there in a hurry You don’t have to worry” UNTIL MY LAST BREATH. 2️⃣3️⃣ Happy birthday to my favorite person. You are kind, loving, smart, fun and just pure joy to be around. You light up every single room you walk into, and those you love are truly lucky to have you. I am in awe of the woman you are and I will continue to celebrate you, love you, and support you until my last breath. You are truly my Ride or Die. Cheers to making more memories together.
