Finally made it to the “Sistine Chapel of Impressionism.” 🪷
There is a specific kind of magic in the oval rooms of the Musée de l’Orangerie. Standing surrounded by 360 degrees of Monet’s Water Lilies feels like a total escape from the Paris crowds. ✨
💡 Quick Tips for your visit:
* Book early: Tickets sell out weeks in advance!
* Go at 9:00 AM: Aim for the first time slot to get those empty-room shots.
* The 5-Minute Rule: Sit on the center benches. Watch how the natural light changes the colors on the canvas. 🎨
Is Paris on your 2026 travel list? ✈️

@marush_diary The north face of Aragats doesn't care about your problems.
It just stands there. Ancient. Unbothered.
And somehow that's exactly what you needed to see.

your first hike shouldn’t break you.

i see it all the time. someone picks the hardest, highest, most dramatic peak for their first time, comes back exhausted, and decides hiking isn’t for them. but it wasn’t the hiking. it was the mountain. they chose wrong. i still remember my own first summit, slow and out of breath and completely in love, and that only happened because it was the right one to start with.

the secret is boring and it works every time. keep it short, under 10 km and under 600 metres of climbing. pick the right season, most mountains here are only safe from june to october. your first one doesn’t even have to be a mountain, a simple trail counts. and go with a hiking club, it’s safer, the guide knows the way, and you don’t have to think about transport or logistics.

start gentle. fall in love first. the hard peaks will wait for you.

which mountain are you starting with?

One of my childhood dreams just came true, twice.
On the morning of July 31, 2025 I stood on the summit of Masis. Before a full year had passed, I was standing on Sis, looking back across at the peak I had climbed the summer before. Now when I see Ararat from home, I feel both summits at once.
From the top you can see where three countries meet, all from one point on the ridge.
The numbers: 12.35 km up and down, 5 hours 55 minutes, 1,538 metres of elevation gained. It was a guided climb, and worth every step.

Some hikes are just hikes… but Mount Mets Parakhadem is an experience. 🥾
Step by step, the trail takes you through peaceful landscapes, until suddenly the horizon opens up — and there it is: the legendary Mount Ararat, standing in all its glory. 🌄✨
From the summit, time feels slower. The view is wide, endless, unforgettable. This is the kind of place you don’t just see… you feel. 💚
📍 If you’re traveling in Armenia, add Mets Parakhadem to your bucket list — it’s one of the best spots to admire Ararat.

five mountains i’d send anyone to before they say they’ve seen Armenia. not the ones on the postcards, the ones you actually climb. each one is a different side of this country, from volcanic craters in the center to sacred peaks in the deep south. swipe for all five.

which one are you climbing first, the easy one or the one that scares you a little?

the highest point in Armenia, and it isn’t one peak but four, standing around the rim of an old volcanic crater. most people climb the southern summit from lake kari, about 8 km up and back, gentle enough for a first big hike. start early though, the clouds roll into the crater by mid morning and swallow the view.

the highest peak of the gegham mountains, an extinct volcano with a lake sitting inside its crater, fed by melting snow all year. the walk up is short because a 4x4 takes you close to 3,000 m first. on the way you pass dragon stones and petroglyphs older than almost anything else in the country.

the sacred mountain of the south, rising straight above kapan, where the national hero garegin nzhdeh is buried on its slopes. you drive up past 2,000 m by 4x4, then hike the rest, around 12 km up and back with real elevation. the most dramatic silhouette in Armenia, and it feels like it.

the wild green side of Armenia, deep in the ijevan mountains of tavush inside dilijan national park. it’s the long one, close to 17 km starting near haghartsin monastery and passing a hidden waterfall on the way. sheer cliffs drop off the summit plateau, and low clouds move through so fast the whole landscape changes in minutes.

the gentlest of the five, a half day up in vayots dzor with fortress ruins still standing at the top, older than nearby smbataberd. a few years ago almost no one knew this mountain. now there are people lining up at the summit to photograph the view from one particular rock. in spring the top turns green while the range across from it is still under snow. taken in Armenia by @marush_diary

twenty seven today 🧚‍♂️

these photos are of a girl who had no idea how many lives were waiting for her.

i used to think becoming yourself meant picking one lane. that loving the road meant giving up the coming home. that being driven meant i couldn’t also be gentle.

this past year quietly proved me wrong.

so here’s twenty seven. no more choosing between the different versions of me, just letting them all take up space.

Some days the most productive thing you can do is put one foot in front of the other and let the rest of the world buffer.

Somewhere in the Armenian highlands.
