I have experienced EVERY SINGLE THING that has ever been tagged A LAGOS THING!!!!

Because tell me why Lagos is such a BRAVE GIRL CITY??? From danfo drivers and conductors to Lagos traffic, people fighting over queues, and random inconveniences that will make you question your entire existence. This city will humble you in ways you never imagined.

You know how when you go to other states, they welcome you and make you feel at home? In Lagos, they look you straight in the eye and say, “THIS IS LAGOS.”

No apologies, no explanations. Just THIS IS LAGOS.

At this point, living in Lagos should be a survival skill on your CV.

I know this isn’t the kind of content I usually post, but abeg, I had to share this.

Because some of the things people say in the name of relationships genuinely need to be studied. And the funniest part? They’ll say these things with their full chest!

I hope I never get too busy building my own life that I forget to enjoy the people who are part of it.

Spent the day with my sister and her Husband!! and honestly, it was such a good day. Just being outside, having conversations, laughing, eating and enjoying each other’s company.

Sometimes, we get so caught up in work, responsibilities and everything we’re trying to figure out that we forget how special it is to simply spend time with the people we love.

I want more days like this. More memories, more laughter, more random outings and more moments with my people. Because when I look back at life, I know it won’t just be the big milestones I’ll remember, but the little days that made me happy, too.

I know I’m always telling you not to pick your face, but let me be honest with you… I still pick my face on some days.

Sometimes I’ll literally catch myself doing it and remember that I’m supposed to know better. The self-awareness is there, the knowledge is there, but the self-control? We’re still working on it.

But seriously, picking your face can make inflammation, dark spots and scarring worse, so please learn from me and leave that pimple alone. Let it be!

I know this is not my usual kind of content but I just watched a Nollywood movie and I was triggered like MAD. I literally had to come and talk about it because why have we normalised some of these things in relationships??

Some things we’ve somehow normalised in relationships that I personally just… don’t get.

And before anybody starts, I’m not saying relationships should be perfect. People will misunderstand each other, have bad days, argue, make mistakes and sometimes get on each other’s last nerve. That’s life.

But there’s a difference between being imperfect and being intentionally inconsiderate.

You can love someone deeply and still have standards for how you expect to be treated.

Anyway, I’ve said my own.

Change your ways and get better skin!!!!!

Stop complaining that your skin isn’t improving and start doing the things that actually help.

You can’t keep:

* Changing your products every two weeks
* Picking at every single breakout
* Skipping sunscreen and wondering why your dark spots won’t fade
* Over-exfoliating because you want results overnight
* Buying every trending product you see on TikTok
* Ignoring your skin barrier
* Expecting one product to magically fix everything

Your skin needs consistency, patience and the right routine.

You don’t need 15 products. You need to understand what your skin actually needs and give it time to work.

So yes, respectfully… change your ways and get better skin.

Stop complaining and start doing the right things.

I have been trying to “find myself” lately, but honestly, I’m not!

I think I’m just trying to figure life out as I go.

I moved to Lagos for work and, for the first time, I’m living in a city where I don’t have my family around me.

And I won’t lie, sometimes it gets really lonely.

There are days I come back from work completely exhausted, and all I want is to see my family, eat something that was made at home, tell someone about my day and just… be somebody’s child for a little while.

But I’m here, and life doesn’t stop because I’m having one of those days.

You still have to wake up. Go to work. Make decisions. Pay bills. Take care of yourself. Think about your career. Think about your future. Try to maintain friendships. Try to have a social life. Try to be okay.

And sometimes I genuinely wonder, “Am I doing this adulting thing correctly?”

Because there is so much pressure in your 20s to have everything figured out.

You’re supposed to know what career you want, where you want to live, who you want to be, what your next step is…

Meanwhile, some days I’m just proud that I made it through the week.

I’m learning that maybe I don’t need to have all the answers yet.

Maybe I’m allowed to be confused.

Maybe I’m allowed to change my mind.

Maybe I’m allowed to miss home even though I prayed for independence.

And maybe growing up is just learning how to hold all of these feelings while still moving forward.

I definitely don’t have life figured out.

So if you’re older than me, or even if you’re in your 20s too and you’ve learnt a thing or two from life…

What is one thing you wish someone had told you at this stage of your life?

Because honestly, I could really use the advice. 🤍

Nobody warned me that starting a 9–5 would make free time feel like a luxury.

Before work, I really thought I had problems. Now I’m celebrating getting home early, having an empty Saturday, sleeping for 8 hours and having enough energy to cook AND do my skincare.

Working 9–5 has really changed my definition of luxury.
