I had the pleasure of meeting JP Cusion (@gigzilla) at the @nextcomicart booth in Artist Alley at NYCC, and I got to see this absolutely INCREDIBLE piece in person! 🔥🖤

JP shared this amazing cover pitch submitted to @marvelcomics @marvel for The Muppets 70th Anniversary Celebration, featuring Animal reimagined as Man-Thing! The piece pays homage to the iconic 1974 Man-Thing #1 cover by Frank Brunner and Glynis Wein, and I absolutely LOVE this mash-up!

Growing up, I loved all the incredible creations from @hensoncompany Animal was always one of my favorite Muppets, right alongside Grover, Oscar the Grouch, and Snuffleupagus! Combine that nostalgia with my love for Man-Thing, my favorite Marvel character, and this piece hits all the right notes for me!

JP's incredible crosshatching technique gives this artwork such a distinctive look, adding incredible texture, depth, and personality to an already fantastic concept. The attention to detail is just phenomenal! 🥁

I would LOVE to see this become an official Marvel cover someday. This concept is brilliant, the execution is outstanding, and JP absolutely deserves the opportunity! 🙌🏻🔥

What do you think? Would you pick up a Muppets 70th Anniversary cover featuring Animal as Man-Thing? 👀🌿💚
