episode 6 — Producing “New Wine” was me putting the concept of interpolation into practice and exploring the different creative directions I could take with it.

Appreciate everybody who’s been listening to the song!

episode 5 — Mac Miller’s “S.D.S.,” produced by Flying Lotus, is the song that really started my journey toward finding and honing my own voice—not just as a producer, but even more so as an instrumental artist.

episode 4 — Common’s Be album is another body of work I grew up on and plays a big part in how I create today. Through studying his catalog, I’ve found that he got production from some of my favorite producers ever which I believe is a crazy feat and it’s something I really wanted to highlight.

episode 3 — “Feel Like Makin’ Love by D’Angelo took me down an unexpected rabbit hole. I love when I find the connection to different songs through just listening. And its even more fun when I’m not necessarily looking for it by my ears recognizes it and that prompts me to dig deeper. Here’s an example of what that looks like for me.

episode 2 — Headgames by Swarvy is the one track I always think of when it comes to his VAST catalogue. There’s so much to learn from his production through simply listening. One of my personal top favorite producers/artists. Let me know if you did or didn’t know about this jam.
