In an official statement, the Miss World America organization has announced that Mary Sickler @mary_sickler , Miss World New York and first runner-up at this year’s Miss World America Festival, will represent the United States at the 75th Anniversary Edition of Miss World, in Vietnam. The reigning Miss World America, Jade Glab @jadelinglab of New Jersey, will instead travel to Tanzania as her country’s official representative for the following edition (2027). Speaking at the @naaf_alopecia Walk for Alopecia sponsored by @pfizerinc was moment I will carry with me forever. Standing on that stage and looking out at so many brave, beautiful people who truly understand this journey reminded me why I chose to start sharing my story in the first place.Any trial or battle can feel isolating, but this was a reminder that none of us are ever alone. Through meeting and speaking with so many people, I learned that every person had their own story of loss, courage, and rediscovery. Sometimes, the greatest thing we can do is help someone else shine. I felt so blessed to emcee the talent show at the National Alopecia Conference and interview these incredibly talented children. Too meaningful not to reshare. Standing on the stage at the National Alopecia Conference was one of the most meaningful moments of my life. Just a year and a half ago, I was looking in the mirror and grieving the person I thought I had lost. I did not understand why God would allow something so painful.But over time, I began to see that He was not abandoning me in my pain. He was actually working through it. What once made me want to hide became the very story He would use to help others feel seen, understood, and less alone.To now stand in front of more than 600 people and share the very story I once wished I could hide was a moment I will never forget. The most meaningful part were the hugs, conversations, and reminders that our hardest moments can become part of a purpose greater than ourselves.This was a full-circle moment I will carry with me forever and a reminder that God can bring beauty from pain, strength from sorrow, and purpose from the places we once thought were broken. 💙 by @mary_sickler

I was honored to be the keynote speaker at the National Alopecia Conference with more than 600 families in attendance!With flowers painted on my head, I stood on stage and shared the story I once prayed no one would ever see. At the end, receiving a standing ovation brought me to tears.A year and a half ago, I hated the way I looked. I thought alopecia had taken my beauty, my confidence, and the version of myself I used to recognize.But standing there, covered in flowers, I realized something so powerful: sometimes the places we feel most broken become the places where we bloom the strongest.Those flowers were more than paint. They were proof that healing is possible, that beauty can grow from pain, and that our stories can become someone else’s courage.To anyone walking through hair loss: you are not alone. You are not less beautiful. You are not less worthy. You are blooming in your own time.I am so grateful that the very thing that once made me feel so alone is now helping me remind others they never have to walk this journey alone. 💙 by @mary_sickler
