August 5, 2010.
We were ahead of our time.

15 years ago today. (Oh, the memories of this day, this season of life.)

Indeed, a life-altering moment as 5 of us were launched as @bravotv @bravoandy ‘s iconic class of “The Real Housewives of DC” for one epic season.

1-An unprecedented White House security breach transpired, documented on our season. Overnight, our show was attached to an international incident wreaking havoc within our newly elected administration. On a far less serious note, ultimately caused the demise of the highest viewed and rated season of housewives of its time.

2-First RHW series to break the “4th wall” including production on camera to share what was transpiring behind our cameras managing major controversy.

3-A cast of 5, filmed for 5 months, 5 days a week for 5 hours per day, launched August 5, 2010. (Who knows how many more 5’s occurred - oh, I’m a mother of 5!)

4-Addressed political issues unfolding in DC ie; legalization of gay marriage

5-Showcased a Congressional hearing that took place because of the White House breach

I want to acknowledge my 5 children for allowing me this opportunity to share my heart, our amazing family, my charity work and good intentions to sign up for such a risk to all of us. I know it was very hard on you and for this, I’m deeply sorry.

Thank you, @thereallyndadc @catommanney @sscottturner & yes, even @michaeleandnealschon for an unforgettable experience sharing our lives together on camera.

Thank you to dear friends @tedgibsonofficial, @jasonbacke, @paulwhartonstyle & @erwinkarmagomez for riding this wave with us, bringing the spice, laughter, drama, glue that held us together as this eclectic tribe of characters.

Thank you Andy, for considering us as your “classics” in this fabulous clubhouse den of wives.

Thank you @usweekly for “taking us back” in the August 4th issue, on shelves now!
