I finally did it. Only took me a full day to buckle down and get it done (what a had been talking about doing for months) - it’s my integration 🤗…
Ok…. What’s next on the neverending list of an independent artist? 🧐 😂

This life will humble us over and over again. Tumble and break us. Polish and shape us. There are pivotal moments where we move through a portal, not knowing how or who will be on the other side, or even if we will survive. In these passages, parts of us may die and on the “other side” we are transformed. This is the nature of initiation.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Humbled, with gratitude, I praise the great Giver of Life, the great Teacher that is Life. And all my Relations and Sacred Mirrors. All my Ancestors, Guides, Elementals and Forces seen and unseen whose presence in my life weaves the rich meaning in this tapestry of my life. I Bow to You. 🙏🏼🌹
On this Samhain I felt like sharing a piece of this powerful song that came through for me during a portal of transformation. This is a recent little video I made of myself singing in the temple space of the intuitive women’s beekeepers retreat on Big Island Hawaii (@wise_women_beekeepers )
I would also like to honor a dear sister named Rose who recently transitioned to the spirit world unexpectedly @rose.chapman 🙏🏼
🌹For any women wanting to dive deeper into this very meaningful relevant myth of Inanna, I highly recommend exploring the creative work of @carly_mountain (her book “Descent and Rising)
Also the work of Maya Luna @thevenuspath and her podcast “Forbidden Fruit”
And also I must mention the inspiring performing artists @maryastark and @sistarswan for their deeply moving production of “She Rose”🌹

It’s high time to connect with other spiritual warriors out there- in sacred ritual, song & movement. It’s not that I’ve been hiding but I am a bit of a hermit 😏and The time is now for connecting in community and sharing our healing medicine of our voices together. Im intending on expanding my soul family with these travels- let’s connect!

Our voices are powerful instruments of healing and awakening consciousness. I am delighted and honored to be guiding a song weaving experience and sharing my music for the first time in Carlsbad, CA at @thetempleofwholeness 🙏🏼💛✨🎶 - also being joined by my dear brother and local Carlsbad artist Jason Cole.

Recovering….from 11 days out on the playa of Black Rock Desert for my first time. Where a temporary city is built and the people who gather abide by these 10 principles:
Radical inclusion
Gifting
De-commodification
Radical self-reliance
Radical self expression
Communal effort
Civic responsibility
Leaving no trace
Participation
Immediacy (I particularly enjoyed this one! You gotta Seize the moment!)
I definitely experienced the magic of this co-creation… and was particularly touched by how many people from around the world come here together and bring their art pieces to share.. I had some very healing moments, some wild synchronicities (running into two people I know from Puna!), some awesome dance experiences, and also some challenging times with the dust (there’s a reason why they make first timers roll in the dust upon arrival- because you and everything you bring will get covered in it). I also felt quite challenged with the overstimulation at times but Getting to experience a playground of so much creativity and connection made it worth it. What was also deeply impactful for me was the temple of the moon- an exquisite collective space for grieving ones we’ve lost and/or even parts of ourselves we are ready to let die. So many feels. Shared some songs in there which was so special. Wow. Also grateful for the Cocoon Crew - a bunch of rad humans and seasoned burners I got to camp with. I felt honored to get to help with the set up of the Cocoon art piece which was a sanctuary for many out on the playa. And it was so fun running our Thrift Store at our camp! Loved all our sharing of food and stories and whatever else was needed. Community. Feel pretty proud to have navigated all this and sharing a van in such close and dusty quarters with @touchbuttonsmusic. We did so well! Mahalo nui loa. by @maryisispathways

Join us for an evening of rejoicing and connecting in sacred song-weaving, where the powerful instruments of our voices shall be liberated and celebrated. This will be Mary's first time sharing her music in the San Diego area!

The evening will begin with some vocal opening and melodic practices, guided by Mary Isis, to open our creative song channels and together we will create an inspiring and prayerful song for our lives. This will lead into a heart warming song share from local artist Jason Cole, followed by a song sharing and sing-along with Mary Isis.

All are welcome! Light refreshments will be offered.

This is a sliding scale offering. Click the link in bio to register.

I was having a super hard time one day and my good friend Kate sent me a song to listen to and I watched this animated video that went along with the song and 10 seconds in I was bawling. A much needed catharsis. That’s the power of music.
This song is called The Story and it was written by Phil Hanseroth, bass player/band mate for Brandi Carlile.
And it’s what I’m singing to you in this video. by @maryisispathways
