Thee months ago this little chap had his pelvis crushed by a car. A metal plate and six pins sorted out his hip. Then confinement for 10 weeks in a cage followed. It was not an easy experience for him or me. But it makes my heart soar to see him so content now he’s back outside. Back at the wheel today after FAR TOO LONG! It was a real joy to get stuck into some clay again. Bit of a heads up. There’s a brand called Joanie that I’ve never heard of. Vintage twist; great colours; larger size range. All round fabulous 👍 It wasn’t until I started chatting with @alexharteco last week that she told me about them. I jumped onto Vinted and started browsing. Amazing! Well here I am far from home adding the finishing touches to my Canada blouse. This blouse started off as a vintage table cloth that I sourced for £10 on #vinted with the idea of using it for the @spilt.milk.uk pattern which I’ve made twice before. Originally planned for a dear friend in Canada (thus the name - Canada blouse), she deemed it a ‘little OTT’ for daily wear 😂 and so I got to keep it 😉 🥂🥂 I was secretly really pleased 🥳🥳 as it’s very ‘me’ 😂😂 Don’t worry. My friend got something else #memade that I’ll share shortly. I’ve really hesitated posting this because I know so many people will be very upset. But I think it’s time to let you know. I have to share the news that my beautiful young cat Sebastian - after making a complete recovery from his pelvic fracture and operation - died in what the vets think was some sort of accident on the railway three weeks after he got his freedom back. He was found near home. I am devastated to have lost him. The three months care I gave him after his first accident when he was confined to a cage 24/7 meant we formed an intense bond. He was so full of life and absolute joy, an indomitable little spirit. Everyone loved him and many of you contributed to helping him get better. Thankyou so much for all your support and care. It meant such a lot. ✨✨✨My little Sebby flashed like a bright star through my life. A streak of amber and gold 💫💫💫 I’ll always love him. And always miss him. 🥰 I love an inspiring female entrepreneurial story. Lynn in Montrose has been running her underwear shop in the town for decades. 👙 Tired of doing the same thing, but loving her community, she decided to pivot from bras to beaches and has opened a pop up sauna next to the dunes. 🌊🌊 I’ve been swimming on Montrose beach ever since I was a kid and I was thrilled to spy Lynn’s sauna as I headed back from a bracing dip. 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️ It was wonderful cosying down after a swim in the North Sea. 🔥🔥 Toast by the Coast on Facebook. A very lovely bunch of milliners gathered together in the south of France to meet, make and marvel at the endless creativity on display. It’s a privilege to go in my new role as editor of @hatalkmag in the company of the talented @janefryersmillinery and @martinechenry We were generously invited (along with some other amazing makers) by The Hat Magazine - such a fascinating few days and so much to appreciate. Amazing volunteers and an awesome committee help keep this specialist festival going in spite of the challenges facing community events everywhere. A little light relief. Caussade and the incredible @iddees82 which I last visited 10 years ago 😂 Many a vintage French pillowcase to be found plus many other quirky discoveries.
