What’s the Story! The Artful Book

Last night’s opening reception at the JGallery was a success. I always look forward to the artist’s talks about their work. And the video presentation on the Stitchers was beautiful!

“Don’t Overthink It” is heading to its new home today!
I woke up to a very nice surprise to find out this painting was purchased by a friend of mine. (I have to admit, knowing you sold a painting before you even had a full cup of coffee is a pretty good way to start the day).
I got to thinking, I wonder if she knows the story behind this painting? So, I sent it to her and decided I would share it with you as well…
Every piece of art has a story… anytime you are intrigued by something, don’t be afraid to ask the artist!

Thank You, T 😊 by @marytbartonart

The many layers of this series….
From a blank canvas, to multiple lines and colors…blocking out designs and adding more in!
Intuitive painting is “all over the place”, but also a chaotic planned process. What do they call that?! An oxymoron???

Anyway, here is the process from beginning to the end of “Assurance”
(Verses used: Deuteronomy 31:6, Joshua 1:9, Isaiah 41:10)

Just one of six paintings accepted into a special show about words and books. My book? The Bible ❤️

Our vacation has started off beautifully! Spending time in Corfu with old friends and new friends has been a dream. The views and the food are incredible. These narrow crazy streets are an entertaining roller coaster - as long as you are not the driver.
We have seen so many beautiful sites, swam in some sparkling blue waters.
Yesterday was spent enjoying the beach from our cabana where we relaxed, ate, and enjoyed a smooth and sandy beach at Pazuzu.
Stay tuned…. taken in Corfu Greece by @marytbartonart
