A fair few mechanicals, and essentially being chainless on seeding day definitely wasn’t ideal. Came into race day wanting more, but a few issues with AusCycling meant we only got one practice lap.
Felt good in the first split, only a couple seconds off the pace, but unfortunately couldn’t piece the run together, and the fitness wasn’t there during the flatter sections finishing with a 2:47.
A lot learned this weekend and I know exactly what I need to work on. Keen to spend some more time on the bike and rip into some training during the off season 🫡
Can’t thank @mitchel.browning enough for the rear wheel lend, actual life saver 🙏
