I always knew The Odyssey was going to be big…

I just had no idea it was going to be THIS epic.

The gratitude I feel for every single follower (new or old), every friend, and every family member who’s been in my corner cheering me on these past 2 weeks is unreal.

I’ve done so much press — something that’s totally new to me — and I’m honestly just so thankful for everything that’s come from this experience.

Still can’t believe this is real

Last summer I was hiking that mountain in Italy every single day to film for The Odyssey… and now there’s a whole article about it in the Gazette. Wild.

🎥 A huge shoutout to the incredible director who believed in me from the very beginning — Andrew Kightlinger.

Andrew was my director on Lost on a Mountain in Maine, and he’s been a true inspiration and nonstop cheerleader for everything I’ve done since. Way back during filming, he pulled me aside and told me how proud he was of some of the things I did in his film. He said I was going to go on to do great things.

I don’t think even he could have predicted those “great things” would include working with Jonathan Nolan on Fallout and now Christopher Nolan on The Odyssey… but I can honestly say none of it would have been possible without the support of so many people in my life — and Andrew is absolutely one of them.

He’s watched my self-tapes, hyped me up, and stayed right there in my corner through it all. So when I got back from filming The Odyssey, the first thing I had to do was send him the cast & crew hat. He told me he’s going to cherish it forever… and even wear it to the screening.

Andrew is stepping back from Instagram right now to chase the next big thing in his universe, but I just had to take a moment to shout him out. This incredible human, this incredible director — if you ever get the chance to work with him, consider yourself VERY lucky.

Thank you for everything, Andrew. Can’t wait to see what you do next!

NEFC Spring Showcase in the books.

Finished 2-1-1 and made the Final, battling through some crazy moments and big saves along the way. Always proud to compete with this group and represent FC Dutchmen Surf.
