One Door Closes. And another one opens.

I’ve run the last race. And my time as a buc has officially come to a close
These last 4 years of running have been nothing short of magical. I improved more than I ever could’ve imagined. I loved every moment of it. Every good practice. Every bad one. Every Phenomenal race. And every awful one.
But most importantly I want to thank every one of my teammates and Coaches. Your support all this time has meant more than you will ever know and I will cherish every memory we have made for as long as I live.
The process of training, succeeding, failing, and learning has helped me grow into the person I am now.

I’ll never forget my time as a Buc. And I am incredibly excited to continue this journey under a new banner at @bluehosexc

I am extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at Presbyterian College. Thank you to Coach Matt, all my other my coaches, and each and every one of my teammates for supporting me in my distance running journey.

Paid in full…all sufficient merit now my own 🗣️🗣️❤️❤️

Wasn’t going to make an LP post because I don’t have too many pictures but I will anyway ❤️ (also instagrams cropping sucks in half of these)

The 3 weeks I spent at the Leadership Project were the best weeks of my life. I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to spend time with the best people and to grow in relationship with my Savior.

Every day felt meticulously hand crafted by God for a purpose. He revealed himself to me in a way I had never seen
Every day, every experience, every person I spoke to.

Time on the beach, speakers that made me question everything I ever knew, our stupid ghostbusters skit, nights crying screaming in anger, dragging myself on runs in 90 degree heat, reading the word intentionally and deeply, sharing the gospel to random fishermen on the beach, toxic games of Cambio, belting worship songs that I used to hate until I couldn’t breathe, and every other second in between.

There aren’t enough words in the English language to describe how powerful my time at LP was.
The song All sufficient merit can summarize the main theme of the conference for me

I must become less, he must become more. In everything I do down to an unconscious level. There is not a step I take and not a word I say that is my own, but the Spirit of God who lives in me. He has established my every step, with a plan for my life greater than I could possibly imagine.
So why would I worry about ANYTHING?
As hard as it is to trust that sometimes, LP helped to show me that I can, not because I’m strong enough but because HIS SUFFICIENT MERIT IS MORE THAN ENOUGH.

Just finished 9 sols and it is an absolute MASTERPIECE. And what a legendary final boss…. Eigong is one of the hardest fights I’ve ever faced that somehow remained entirely fair. No rng. No bs. No ads. Just 2 warriors crossing blades. And that phase 3 is pure intensity. Eigong will be changing combo after combo after combo that is nearly unreactable. You have to rely ENTIRELY on instinct to win here.
Yall if you haven’t played nine sols PLAY IT ITS SO GOOD

Semester 2 ❤️🗣️🗣️

Yet another cycle on this rickety bumpy broken down rollercoaster I call Presbyterian College. Seems I can’t go a single year without massive changes and misery to go with them. This last fall was probably the worst season I have ever had in this sport.

Yet the law of equivalent exchange rings true always. What have I to gain for my pain? For my resilience? The answer is not always what I would want. But the Lord continues to be infinitely faithful to me.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them from them all.
:Psalm 34:18-19

And the Lord answered me. Because come springtime with new leadership and a new day, my indoor and outdoor seasons both had zero regrets. The future is unknown, but infinitely bright, and I cannot wait to see where the Lord will lead me next fall.

A year of my highest of highs and my lowest of lows….
2025 has been a complete roller coaster from beginning to end.
In the same year, I both saw Metallica and relived my childhood in Nintendo world, Get to meet the voices behind Sonic and Shadow at Sonic Expo, and FINALLY lived to see the release of the coveted Hollow Knight Silksong.
As well as have my heart shattered into a million pieces all over again, and felt more alone than I ever have, I can’t even count the number of times I became completely lost in isolated sorrow

And yet… my Rock, my guide, my comforter, my friend, and my Savior remains….
Praise God for another year under the sun, and may I continue to lean on Him all the days of my life✝️✝️✝️❤️❤️❤️ by @masterdwh59
