POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

So I recently watched this wonderful gem the other night and I adore this movie so much that I had to post about it. (I know, what a dork thing to do)

Sleepy Hollow is honestly one of the perfect films to watch during October. It's a Halloween must in my opinion. From the atmosphere, to the set designs, story, and music.

It is Rated R so maybe not suitable for kids but hell, I have no idea how I was allowed to watch this in the 3rd grade.

Check it out, if you haven't. It's my favorite Tim Burton film and favorite Danny Elfman score.

This definitely isn't all I have of the big guy, but just shows how much he meant to all of us.

This week hasn't been the best for some folk, first Dolly, then Tim, and now Peter Cullen.

I felt like I had to say something about this guy because I personally met him and thanked him for all the work he's done and how inspiring he was for many people out there, including myself.

If anyone knows me personally, I am a huge Transformers fan. When I was 7, my Father took to me to see the first live action film and I instantly fell in love. Seeing a huge red truck turn into a robot and say,"My name is Optimus Prime" was just the coolest thing ever. Peter Cullen brought a source of calmness and heroism into the character, not a bruting titan that fights to be scary. But a hero that's calm and leading. He based this voice off of his older Brother Larry who was a Marine. Larry told Peter to not be a Hollywood type hero, but to be a calm hero. Be strong enough to be gentle. And that's exactly what he did.

You can tell that Peter loved the work he did and loved the characters he portrayed. From Optimus Prime and all the way to Eeyore.

He inspired all kinds of people in this world to be gentle. His words through his work meant so much to myself and many others.

With this, I'll leave it with a quote.

"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings"
-Optimis Prime (Peter Cullen)

A powerful message from a powerful leader.

Evil Dead has been my favorite horror franchise ever since my older brother @jameswoo10 came over and made me watch Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness when I was in middle school.

I truly believed that this franchise didn't have a bad movie, hell, even the 2013 remake (or sequel?) Is damn good. The last installment 'Evil Dead Rise' was a fantastic story that was set in the universe. It explored new ideas while still keeping itself inserted in the universe.

Evil Dead Burn however, seems to lose its footing multiple times. There was a lot of it that I liked, mainly the scenes with the deadites fighting the main character. The other half i didn't like what it tried to have an emotional trauma bond with the main character. I feel like the overall tone of Evil Dead is supposed to play into camp and sometimes silly over the top playfulness with the deadites and the heros with the splash of gore and sickening imagery.
Not some throw in our face emotional character back story. Im fine with a character going through something but to keep throwing in our faces when we've already seen it multiple times is just repetitive and annoying at some points.

The writing also just wasn't the best which sucks. The story was quite enjoyable and played into the last film.

Also, if we're going to start connecting all these movies in one way or another, keep things consistent and not confuse the hard-core fans like myself and many others.

Anyway, Evil Dead Burn nailed it with gore and destruction but failed on the writing and plot of what it means to be Evil Dead. I think it's time to bring back the silliness.

6/10

Masters of the Universe (2026) 💥⚔️REVIEW⚔️💥

I saw Masters of the Universe twice, once on the Thursday premiere and again during opening weekend and honestly, the second viewing made me appreciate it even more.

Going in, I was nervous. The 1987 movie has its fans, but it never really felt like Masters of the Universe to me. This movie, however, absolutely does. From the costumes and set design to the characters and overall atmosphere, it feels like a genuine trip to Eternia.

What I loved most is that the film doesn't take itself too seriously. It's He-Man! It's supposed to be fun, colorful, a little goofy, and full of sword fights, magic, monsters, and larger-than-life heroes and villains. This movie understands that.

Nicholas is great as Prince Adam/He-Man, and Jared Leto genuinely surprised me as Skeletor. He absolutely steals show and doesn't hold back on the goofy villain that we all know. The cast as a whole does a fantastic job, with only a few minor character choices that didn't completely work for me.

You can also tell the filmmakers really care about the source material. There are plenty of references and Easter eggs for longtime fans of the classic cartoon.

If you're looking for a fun summer blockbuster, grab some popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the ride to Eternia.

8/10 By the power of Grayskull, they finally got it right.

Support your local theater.

Kate Kane, the fearless and determined hero who stands strong in her own identity. As a skilled crime fighter who forged her own path despite challenges, she embodies the power of living authentically and unapologetically.
Being who you want to be should never be frowned upon. Embrace your truth boldly, just like she does. If someone tries to debate or diminish that, don't waste your time. I don't care.
Stay true to yourself. by @masternash25
