Our fantastic directors, We Are Batch, worked with our friends at Fact & Fiction to create these tongue-in-cheek ads for Nitecrawler, an app that lets users snag last-minute deals late at night. Batch’s distinctive, bold, illustrative, 2D animated style was used to play up scenarios in which people may need last-minute hotel accommodation. Fact & Fiction’s review? “Our team and client are ecstatic with the work!” You can find the five spots on our website! Enjoy! The Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 global launch film has been profiled by Shots, highlighting the ambitious miniature builds and high-impact VFX approach behind the campaign! Masters & Savant proposed and partnered with Motif Studios from our roster to deliver the VFX and large-scale post integration for the project. It is a great example of how we connect the right specialist studio to the right brief, then support the process through to final delivery. Read the feature on Shots: https://shots.net/news/view/mad-miniatures-unite-for-mens-rugby-world-cup-2027 If you are interested in the technical side, including a VFX making of not featured in the Shots piece, you can view the full case study here! https://mastersandsavant.com/project/mens-rugby-world-cup-2027/ DM or reach out at mastersandsavant.com by @mastersandsavant
A quiet story about distance, connection, and the moments that bring people back together. Lucan Animation partnered with Unitel on a seasonal animated short film about resilience, kindness, and human connection. Set in a time of handwritten letters, the story follows a grandmother waiting to hear from her family, and a young boy whose small act helps bridge the distance in time for the holidays. Told through subtle performances and a handcrafted visual style, the film lets emotion lead every creative choice. If you have a project where this kind of storytelling could be the right fit, feel free to get in touch! 📩 DM or reach out at mastersandsavant.com by @mastersandsavant
Big idea. Small scale. Serious craft. When Photoplay Australia approached Masters & Savant during the pitch phase for the Rugby World Cup 2027 global launch film, the ambition was clear. Create something epic and irreverent that celebrates fandom at full throttle. To bring that vision to life in post, we proposed Motif from our studio stable as the ideal partner. Their VFX experience spans photoreal vehicles, creatures, crowds, and large-scale compositing, alongside a distinctively offbeat sensibility that aligned perfectly with the script’s tone. Their background on projects like Mad Max: Fury Road also meant they instinctively understood the Thunderdome-inspired world the film was building. We’ve shared the full project story on mastersandsavant.com, including post and behind-the-scenes details. 📩 DM or reach out at mastersandsavant.com by @mastersandsavant

When motion graphics make you feel something, you know they’re doing their job. Motif Studios crafted this title sequence for The ABC Killer - the chilling true-crime story of South African serial killer Moses Sithole, whose crimes in Atteridgeville, Boksburg, and Cleveland earned him his nickname. Fiery orange overlays cut through cold blue duotones, layered with a sophisticated grade and a killer score from Pressure Cooker Studios. Every frame is deliberate, every choice designed to unsettle.
