So you’ve probably had enough of me painting walls and going up and down in a cherry picker. 😂

The real reason why we love @upfest so much, is of course the artwork. 🖼️

There were some fantastic artists showcasing their incredible talents this year, so many in fact, I can’t fit them all into one reel. 😂 Anyway, enough of me rabbiting on, I hope you love the artwork as much as I do.

Credit where it’s due, here are all the artists showcased in the reel, it was great meeting some of you during the festival and may you all keep painting with good paint. 🫡

I went 50ft up in the air in a cherry picker!

In my last post I mentioned helping @upfest out with some typography repairs.

Well, I got the awesome opportunity to help make some repairs to the Tobacco Factory sign on the side of their massive building.

I wore a very flattering harness and we went about 50ft up in the air to stencil out the letters we needed, which were then cut out by Upfest Steve with a little help from @katybasnaw and myself, before we went back up in the air and spray painted the letters back in place (I still have the red nails to prove it 💅😂) before filling in the background.

I’m stoked I had the opportunity to do this, it was awesome fun. Certainly something ticked off a list of things to do at some point in life.

Also, shout out to @artez_online for letting us interrupt his time painting the wall, so we could use the cherry picker. His final piece, is fantastic btw well worth a look. 👀

What an absolute whirlwind the last few weeks have been…

I’ve taking an hiatus from the digital world to spend some more time in the real world with some really awesome people.

The last few weeks, I’ve been helping the legends @upfest with the festival preparation, painting walls, building scaffolding, nervously taking down free standing scaffolding, artist liaising, more prep, wall changes, typography repairs and more.

What an experience it was, I truly loved every minute of it. I’ve tried new things, learnt new things, challenged myself, realised I’m not to bad with heights, but still crap on ladders, and best of all I’ve met some absolute legendary people, that I’m more than happy to call my friends. (They might think otherwise 😂)

I can’t wait for the next one, but until then, I thought I’d share a bit of what I’ve been up to. It’s like sitting through someone’s holiday snaps, but with a slightly better soundtrack.

There will be a few more reels, so enjoy. 😉

Been busy in the studio lately, so not had a chance to post on here, but the latest project is going well.

Apart from the dreaded spinning wheel of death. When it strikes, it strikes and it definitely depletes the reserves, till I ain’t got nothing left. 😂

Someone break out a tiny violin 🎻 for me, I think a new machine might be on the cards soon. 🤔

Anyway, enough waffle from me, I hope all is well in your worlds and here’s a little update from me.
