MAT TEA @mat_teatime

Mat Tea was born and raised in the UK, spending his formative years listening to rock, pop, and soul. Smoky venues in Bristol introducing him to nightlife culture and his love for sharing music and dancing.

Venturing into the world at 18, his musical taste began evolving, influenced by the underground cultures of the cities he called home. Playing Indie and Mash up in Sydney, Minimal Techno in Barcelona, Soul and Electronica in Buenos Aires, House and Dub in London. Since arriving in Mallorca 10 years ago he has developed as a DJ alongside the local scene, serious dance music that's at the same time unashamedly fun. Consciously surfing through genres whilst wearing his UK roots on his sleeve, from UKG, 90s Tech House, and breaks, all sprinkled with some island sunshine.

A member of Santa Cata since its conception, and a staple in many local parties, his versatile record collection is equally at home from sweaty basements at 4am to poolside sunset sessions. Taking pride in his ability to read the room and bring his own story to tell, a DJ that lets the music do the talking.
