Another appreciation post for Japan 🫶🏼 I keep telling myself to travel somewhere else and “see the world”, but always end up at Don Quijote in Shibuya🥲❤️ Until next time Japan 💌 #japantravelphoto #japan #kyoto #uji by @matchafy.k

Remembering my trip to Uji this past January — where I learned the art of matcha grinding at @uji_chazuna and gained a deeper appreciation for the beauty in tradition 🌱 We ended the day with a delicious matcha soba set at Torikiku. Would 1000% stand in the freezing cold wind just to taste this meal again 🤤 Can’t wait until the day I return for a tea picking experience 👩🏻‍🌾 #matcha #matchalatte #matchalover #uji #ujimatcha # ujijapan #tea #greentea #matchaaddict #chazunamatcha #chazunamuseum #chazunaexperience #soba #torikiku taken in Uji by @matchafy.k

Oof, it’s been a minute! Hit a creative block and temporarily put my favorite daily routine on hold, turns out even a matcha lover has a limit on matcha lattes 🥲 Been hopping between hobbies, reading and soaking up time outdoors instead. Debating whether to share snippets of my projects here. I can sense the creative juices are flowing again. I’m excited to figure out what’s next for this page. But for now, pls enjoy this iced usucha I made for my hubby 🍵 #homecafe #matcha #matchalatte #coffee #caffeine taken in San Francisco, California by @matchafy.k

Finally opened my big 100g tin from Marukyu Koyamaen - Shohaku, I’m definitely good on matcha for a while 😅🍵 Shohaku is great for daily lattes with a very balanced flavor profile - minimal astringency, slightly umami with a subtle sweetness. I was lucky to spot this at SF Japantown a couple months back! Maybe it’s time to host a little homecafé get-together with some friends ☺️ #matcha #homecafé #matchalatte #matchalover #greentea #matchaaddict #tea #icedmatchalatte #matchalove #matchaholic #marukyukoyamaen taken in San Francisco, California by @matchafy.k

Starting my weekend with @kiyomatcha Ritual Grade 💓 It’s smooth, nutty with a touch of natural sweetness. Exceptionally vibrant green and creamy in texture. I notice a bit of graininess but doesn’t bother me. Pairs well with my favorite oat milk. I truly enjoy this matcha overall and will be reaching for it often 🤭 Thank you Kiyo for this gift 🎁 #matcha #homecafé #matchalatte #matchalover #greentea #matchaaddict #tea #icedmatchalatte #matchalove #matchaholic #kiyomatcha taken in San Francisco, California by @matchafy.k

Came across Hou Ou Matcha at @sfchato a couple months back & the beautiful golden packaging really caught my eye, it was like opening a matcha blind box 📦 🍃 This matcha is great pick for beginners! It leans nutty in aroma, with a light, mild flavor profile and minimal astringency or umami. Smooth, easy to drink. I know I’ve been a little MIA — life’s been full with work, upcoming holidays & trips. But I’m excited to get back to doing what I enjoy: trying out local matchas (and matchas wherever I travel!) Can’t wait to take you all along 🍃✈️ #matcha #homecafé #matchalatte #matchalover #greentea #matchaaddict #tea #icedmatchalatte #matchalove #matchaholic #fypreelsシ゚ taken in San Francisco, California by @matchafy.k

Ending summer with 2 glasses of Iced Coconut Cloud Matcha ☁️🍵🥥 Light, smooth, refreshing and just the right touch of earthy sweetness. I used Savoy coconut cream and a splash of condensed milk. Definitely recommend this drink if you’re a coconut lover like myself ☺️ Took a mini break from posting since mid-August, life’s been busy with traveling & lots of socializing. My social battery needed some recharging for sure. Hope you’re ending the season with your fav people and good sips🧃🌻 #matcha #homecafé #matchalatte #matchalover #greentea #matchaaddict #tea #matchalove #matchaholic #fyp #matchacloud #coconutmatcha taken in San Francisco, California by @matchafy.k

Life’s been full — music festivals, girls’ trips, and healing from wisdom teeth extraction 🫠 but amidst the chaos, my matcha ritual stays the same 🌿 I came across @matchaful - Hikari Single Cultivar Matcha on my last grocery run at @biritesf. It has such a balanced flavor profile, with notes of florals, honey and cream—perfect for daily matcha lattes. With how accessible it is, I will for sure come back to try out their other matcha ! #matcha #homecafé #matchalatte #matchalover #greentea #matchaaddict #icedmatchalatte #tea #matchalove #matchaholic #fyp taken in San Francisco, California by @matchafy.k

Next in my matcha rotation : Wako - Marukyu Koyamaen 🍃 It’s medium bodied, has a balanced umami, slightly grassy, creamy and nutty. Literally all my favorite flavors profile in a tin 🤍 If u notice that lil white fur on my whisk it’s bc my fur baby is shredding like crazy ok 🤫 #matcha #homecafé #matchalatte #matchalover #greentea #icedmatchalatte #matchaaddict #matchalove #tea #marukyukoyamaen #fyp taken in San Francisco, California by @matchafy.k
