Saw this quote on TikTok, and it really hits, doesn’t it? 🥹 I felt it too when I first read it.

If I think about it in a matcha way… you could be making the best matcha, the kind you whisk carefully, smooth, vibrant, something you’re proud of. You know it tastes good. You know the effort and love you put into it. But then you give it to someone, and they’re just like… “meh.” Or they still choose coffee or something sweeter. And yeah, it stings. Not because your matcha isn’t good but because it’s not for them.

When you love matcha, you know it’s more than just a drink. It’s your comfort, calm, a whole feeling. So of course, you want others to love it too. You might adjust it make it sweeter, add more milk, make it something for them. But eventually, you realize you can’t force someone to like it.

And that’s the point. You can be your own perfect shade of green and still not be someone’s preference. That doesn’t mean you lack anything. It just means you’re not their taste. And that’s okay, even if it doesn’t feel like it at first.🍵💗

there’s just something about making matcha that makes me feel a little more at ease. maybe it’s the process, having something to look forward to, or simply taking a moment to slow down. whatever it is, i’m glad i have this little thing that makes my days feel a bit better. ❤️‍🩹

Aroma: Toasty & sweet
Color: Vibrant green
Texture: Creamy and almost smooth

I have to admit, I was already obsessed the moment I opened the pouch! It smells so toasty and sweet, and it immediately reminded me of Hoshino Seichaen matcha!

Taste:
On its own, it has a grassy, vegetal character with a tangy undertone that adds a little more depth to the taste.

As a latte, it leans more toward medium-bodied. The vegetal notes come through first, followed by a distinct toasted flavor that reminds me of those roasted rice crispy snacks! There’s also a hint of seed-like nuttiness toward the end, along with a lingering, almost fruity tanginess that I assume comes from the nectarine note. The best part? I didn’t get any bitterness at all! Everything felt nicely balanced.

Personally, I enjoyed this one best unsweetened! If you love toasty, nutty matcha with a little fruity twist, this might be right up your alley!

Shhh Mango Matcha 🥭🍵

Aroma: Mango with a slightly grassy note
Color: Muted green with a subtle yellowish hue
Texture: Slightly thin with mild astringency

As an Unsweetened Latte:
I first tried it as my usual latte, and it was light-bodied with a mango juice-like taste, followed by some grassy and vegetal notes. The natural mango sweetness makes it perfect for an unsweetened latte!

As a Creative Drink:
I’d suggest cold-whisking it and using a frother to achieve a nice, fluffy foam since the texture is a bit thin. I had fun making a creative drink with this one, as it really enhanced the mango flavor!

Overall, I’d say it’s a good everyday latte matcha, especially if you’re a mango lover!

Extra ice because i enjoy the illusion of having more matcha😋

Used only 4.5g of matcha here and yes, more ice = more matcha! Just drink it right away though before the ice waters it down :p

Also, I cannot do the “crispy ice trend” I love my glasses too much. (I’m too scared I’ll break the glass!)

Open Naoki Fragrant Yame Blend with me 𐔌՞. .՞𐦯

Okay, this one surprised me because I actually really enjoyed it! This is the first one I’ve tried from the 3 Naoki US-exclusive blends, and so far, we’re off to a good start!

Aroma: Sweet & Nutty
Color: Vibrant green
Texture: Creamy with just a hint of astringency

As a latte, this is more on the light-bodied side, with a subtle vegetal note at first, followed by that almond-like nuttiness. I also picked up a little toastiness in the aftertaste, with a lingering sweetness that I really liked. And surprisingly, no bitterness for me as a latte!

I personally enjoyed this one best unsweetened because the natural nuttiness and sweetness already came through nicely. But if you like your matcha a little sweeter, adding a tiny bit of agave brings out even more of that nutty flavor.

Definitely excited to try the other two now 👀

My ratio:
🍃 4g matcha
💧 40ml water @ 75°C (double temp)
🥛 100ml oat milk

A little extra caffeine to get through the week 🫩

I’ve been craving this combo for a while, so instead of using mostly milk, I finally gave this a try! The blueberry & vanilla Ceylon tea adds a subtle fruity and slightly sweet flavor, and I actually really loved how it turned out.

It’s light and refreshing, but still gives me that matcha kick I need to survive the week.

Finally got my hands on the TIMEMORE DOT!

I really love how much it can do without taking up much space. Despite being so compact, it tracks weight, time, and flow rate all at once, which makes it so much easier to stay precise and consistent whether I’m making matcha at home or bringing my setup with me.

I originally wanted the pink one because… well, it’s pink. But the white is actually so clean, and it kinda looks like a little moon >⩊<

It’s tiny but does so much. Definitely bringing this little one everywhere with me!
