Today is my 8 year Litsy Anniversary 📚🎉 Since people have been so keen lately to explore other platforms, here’s another reminder of my favorite place to do social media (*sighhh*…if I must).

Especially to all the book nerds out there. The platform is not perfect, but it’s been a consistently happy place for me even when there are occasional tech hiccups. A couple months ago book club had a paint a plant pot event. Over the years I have amassed so many book tiles. I had the idea to start drawing books I already have tiles for.

The numbers correspond to my ever growing spreadsheet of BookSpin Bingo Tiles. This also helps me remember what I have already printed so I don’t end up making duplicates.

This month I used mostly challenge prompts for my list so I have a little more freedom to mood read and still participate in these Litsy challenges. 🎃🐍

September Wrap Up

Finished my Double Spin book - 8114 is creepy AF and had me double-taking my backseat when driving at night 😱

Some unintentionally themed revenge books this month. She’s a Doll, Coffin Moon, and I Hope This Email Finds You in Hell were my favorites.

She’s a Doll makes you wonder if you could possess an inanimate object upon expiration what would you choose 🤔

I finished this one yesterday, and it’s a perfect book to pick up as we head into spooky season. We follow Duane and his teen niece, Julia who he is the guardian of. Duane pisses off the wrong vampire resulting in tragic bloodshed. Together, they stop at nothing to seek revenge.

Our vampires have less allure and more grit and are interestingly impacted by what is traditionally werewolf lore. It is a fast paced gut punch and highly re-readable. by @matchlessmarie

August Wrap Up

Only 8 days til October what am I even doing! I was stubborn because I misplaced one of my tiles and was convinced I would find it, if I waited a little longer. Alas, it was gone like a fart in the wind. I bet you can guess which one 🤣

Finally gave up and reprinted along with 62 more to fill the page and add to my book tile hoard.

Really enjoyed this one. Was hooked from the first chapter. I enjoyed Piper’s humor so much. While I did guess the twist, I was still anxious wondering where the book would eventually go. I think it’s a great representation of grief/survivors guilt. I was thinking there would be more significance to the wasp nest, given the cover, but it was a satisfying read even with so many unlikable characters. Will be recommending this one when it publishes.
