Reading ✅ in. Really liked the build up in this. Definitely not a lighthearted book though. Loved the relationship, hated the friends. Good listen too.

I think my new favorite Emily Henry? Margaret might be my favorite character ever? Did not see the twist coming at all. Good enemies to lovers, loved the friendship too. Very nostalgic feel.

Huh. A weird reading experience. The middle is legitimately good. The beginning and the end are so wacky though. The pace was weird, slow in some parts, really fast in others. I loved the angst, the yearning was fricking real, but what the heck was that twist? It didn’t even feel necessary? taken in Minneapolis, Minnesota by @matekyeah

Summer reading ✅ in - Shatter Me: Interesting I guess. Kind of cool basis, didn’t resonate with the characters much, apparently the villain is the main love interest? Didn’t get that at all, 3 stars

Very meh overall. Cheesy, Hallmark level writing.

Good audiobook, another very solid Emily Henry. Loved Miles and Daphne, with Miles being a welcome departure from what Henry usually chooses to write MMCs as. Daphne felt pretty similar, but that’s not bad. Loved the dialogue.

Had to see what the book was like after watching the series a while back. The book is very solid and a good read. It’s impossible to talk about it though without comparing it to the show. The adaptation is amazingly faithful save for a few great changes like Karen and Graham. The book does suffer from a lack of showing, considering it is all telling. That’s where the series really benefits, the medium allows us to actually see the memories instead of being told them. It’d be hard to imagine the setting and characters without the show as a precursor. Love both, but the show is better. Read this after you’ve seen it. PS, Camila is my favorite character. Karen 2nd. Warren is hilarious though taken in Minneapolis, Minnesota by @matekyeah
