day 3 of recommending movies you probably haven’t seen.

🎬 kajillionaire (2020), directed by miranda july, is one of the strangest, funniest, and most unexpectedly heartbreaking indie films i’ve ever seen.

beneath all its absurdity is a beautiful story about loneliness, dysfunctional families, and the desperate need to feel loved and accepted.

what’s a movie you still can’t stop thinking about? by @mateobekich

day 2 recommending movies you’ve probably never seen

🎬 lurker - 2025 (dir. alex russell)

lurker is one of the most underrated movies from last year and one of my favorites. i am surprised as to how many people haven’t seen it yet. a movie little by little turns into a dark trip. a fantastic commentary on fame and the music industry. by @mateobekich

day 1 recommending movies you’ve (probably) never seen before.

🎬 sh*thouse (2020) - dir. cooper raiff

this has to be the most honest depiction of college and loneliness in the 2020s. it’s painful to watch in the best way possible.

what makes this movie even more inspiring is its origin story. cooper raiff started with a $300 film made with friends, shared it with his favorite filmmaker jay duplass, and eventually turned it into an award-winning feature that won the grand jury prize at sxsw.

oh and he was only 23. by @mateobekich

The next generation of filmmakers:

Last week we hosted a mixer for the next generation of filmmakers. We created a community online for our movie and now we brought everyone together in an unforgettable night.

This is where the FRICK! journey began.

We started writing our feature film in December 2024 over zoom. Since then we’ve managed to grow our team and create a community. We raised $100,000, in 23 days. Last week we hosted an event for 100+ filmmakers, creators, actors and movie fanatics.

We start shooting this summer and we want yo invite you to join the journey of making an indie film. From pre production, to production, until the film is released.

The Goal? MOVIE THEATERS.

Making movies is fun.

4 months ago we shot a concept trailer for our feature film, FRICK! with a budget of $524 in two days in Savannah, Georgia. Why? To show what we’re capable of doing.

A new era in Hollywood?

As movie lovers we crave new voices and new stories. Lets open the door for all the creatives to tell their story in film.

That’s why we are making FRICK! a story made by our generation for our generation. We start production this summer and will document the entire process.

The Goal? MOVIE THEATERS.
