Calling all supporters of Australian cycling.
One of the most powerful episodes of The Domestiques was when we spoke to Matty Lloyd.
We initially invited @mateolloyd to get his take on the Giro d’Italia.
Given he won the Mountains Classification in 2010, Lloyd was qualified to share his thoughts.
Little did we know he had tackled the most traumatic period in his life after being hit by a car when crossing a road in Utah.
On July 23, Lloydy will be honoured with a special tribute.
Melbourne supporters, we urge you to get along to Total Rush at Richmond starting 7:30pm.
@_leeturner will interview the guest of honour.
It’s all about helping a mate who’s doing it tough.
Lloydy has a big smile on his face since our interview and from the support of fans, friends and family.
It promises to be a night of memories, reflection, storytelling and gratitude from a bloke who’s earned his stripes on the bike. by @mateolloyd

You’ve got to listen to this amazing story of survival by Matty Lloyd.
For those who may not recall, Lloydy competed in nine Grand Tours in a relatively short time span.
He was considered one of the world’s best climbers.
A term justified when conquering the Giro’s Mountain Classification in 2010.
He considers himself fortunate to be alive after being hit by a car while crossing a road two years later.
His recuperation has been a slow process and you can hear the struggles in his voice during this episode of The Domestiques.
Such a brave and courageous battle of human survival.
This interview is the most moving we have ever conducted.
