In 1997, I saw Robyn on RuPaul’s late-night talk show and fell head over heels in love.

For 30 years, her music has carried me through love and heartbreak, through every exquisite high and devastating low. There’s a version of me in every song. Someone I was, someone I loved, someone I was still becoming.

Seeing her live felt unreal. Spiritual. Like a door opening between the mundanity of life and something divine. All those years, all those feelings, suddenly in the same room. taken in United Center by @mateomeandering

This one is for my friend Meghan 🩵

If you know Meghan, you know how deeply loved she is. And right now, after she was dealt some devastating news, I want to do everything I can to remind her that she is surrounded by people who are rooting for her, standing beside her, and walking with her through every part of this.

It’s my Dad’s birthday.
