This month is personal. 💙🩷

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month is a time to remember the babies and children who are no longer here, but also to honor the mothers who still carry them every single day.

Grief can look different from one moment to the next. Some days it’s heavy. Some days it’s quiet. Some days you’re okay, and then something small brings it all back.

If you’re a mom who has experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, the loss of a child, or loss connected to medical complications or negligence, this space is for you too.

You don’t have to explain your grief here.
You don’t have to rush it.
And you don’t have to carry it alone.

This week in the Sanctuary, we’re making space for remembrance, support, and Love Beyond Loss Comment a 🩷 or 🩵 to honor the babies and children we remember this month.

Freestyle FRIDAY🫶🏽

This week was really about one thing: motherhood was never supposed to look perfect.

Some days I feel like I got it. Some days I’m literally just a girl trying to make it to tomorrow 😂 and I’m learning to be okay with both.

We don’t have to have all the answers. We don’t have to have it together every day. And we definitely don’t have to do motherhood alone.

That’s exactly why I’m so excited for what’s coming next at Maternal Sanctuary. 🤎 Our first Walking Through Motherhood mom walk is October 11th, and I can’t wait to get outside, meet some of y’all, laugh, talk, walk, and just be around other moms figuring it out too.

Because maybe we don’t have to have it all figured out. Maybe we just need people to figure it out with. 🤎

October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month. 🤎

And I couldn’t think of a more meaningful way to begin this month then to host Maternal Sanctuary’s very first support group. I want to create a space for mothers who understand this kind of loss.

Love Beyond Loss is personal to me. As a mom who has experienced the loss of a child, I know there are parts of grief that are hard to explain to someone who hasn’t lived it. Sometimes you don’t need advice. Sometimes you just need to be around other moms who get it.

And when I say loss, I mean all loss. Miscarriage. Ectopic or molar pregnancy. Stillbirth. Pregnancy loss due to medical complications or a difficult medical decision. Infant loss. The loss of a child at any age. Your story does not have to look like anyone else’s to belong in this space.

This is a place to talk, listen, remember our babies and children, share the hard days, or simply be. You don’t have to be at a certain place in your grief, and you don’t have to come with the right words. Just come as you are. 🤎

And this is only the beginning.

Join us for our first Love Beyond Loss circle on Saturday, October 10. This will be the first of many opportunities for mothers to come together, connect, remember, and be supported by women who understand.

The face behind Maternal Sanctuary 🤎

I’ve shared a lot about what Maternal Sanctuary is, but I realized y’all don’t really know much about the person behind it. 😂 So for our first #FreestyleFridays, I’m stepping a little outside of my comfort zone and getting in front of the camera.

Today, I’m sharing a little more about me, why I started Maternal Sanctuary, and what I hope this space becomes for moms.

And this is just the beginning. Every Friday, we’ll talk about something different from motherhood, life, the things nobody warns you about, the funny stuff, the hard stuff… whatever comes up. No perfect script, just real conversation.

Welcome Home. 🤎

I’ve been revamping Maternal Sanctuary for a while now, and if I’m being real, I’ve probably talked myself out of launching it more times than I can count. I kept feeling like I needed to add one more thing, fix one more thing, or wait until everything was perfect.

But I realized I don’t want to keep waiting.

Maternal Sanctuary was created from a very personal place in my heart and from my own experiences navigating motherhood, pregnancy, postpartum, loss, healing, and everything in between. I wanted to create the kind of space I know so many of us need. A space to find support, learn, connect, find resources, and simply feel understood.

And today, I’m finally opening the doors. 🥹🤎

The website is officially LIVE, but this is only the beginning. I have so much I want Maternal Sanctuary to grow into, and I’m excited to build it right alongside this community.

So take a look around. Explore the rooms. Read the blogs. Download a resource. And most importantly, know that there is space for your story here.
