Reading will soon have a new home of grassroots comedy.

From September 2026 Pentahotel will host weekly Friday night club comedy. It will also be the new home of our weekly Monday evening open mic. 🎤🔥

We want to thank @theoutlookreading for supporting our open mic over the last few years and help us build a vibrant community!

Our last show at the venue will take place on July 13.

Live at the Pentahotel will create a platform for new and emerging talent, promote working class voices and bring top acts to Reading.

We can't wait for Mates Rates Comedy to take it's next steps in Reading. This is the start of something incredible.
