POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s been completed. Not For The Week: Seven DJ Sets. Seven visualizers. Seven days. Everyday of the week.

I honestly started conceptualizing this project back in April of this year when my Spotify subscription cancelled and I didn’t wanna pay for it. But no Spotify didn’t mean I was going to go without music—that’s pretty hard for me. So what started out as practice sets to give myself something to listen to, turned into something I couldn’t have imagined. I wanted to create this series to not only strengthen my craft; but to also immerse myself further into the community that I grew up in and fell in love with.

For those who don’t know me well, I don’t really do a lot of content creation and competing with the algorithm—let alone doing so everyday. I find more peace being more removed from the internet than on it. So, I understood that this was not only going to be a practical challenge, but also a mental one. I can be pretty stubborn. However, once I embraced the routine, it all became easier and things got better with time.

At this point in my life, all I seek is the opportunity to be better. This series has made me better. All who have listened or watch along have made me better as well. If you stuck with me from Monday to Sunday, Tuesday to Thursday, Wednesday to Sunday, etc. I appreciate you nonetheless.

MASSIVE thanks to all the guests who were able to contribute their voices to this series. You all added so much individual flare & character that rounded everything out and I couldn’t be more grateful that y’all dove into my world with me:

${OPAQUE} by @mr.thanubian is out and now yours to dissect, enjoy and live with. JAMM & I have been creating together since we were about 14 & 15, respectively. Now, nearly a decade later, it’s still going strong. Seeing the growth this man has gone through throughout the years but especially while making this project only continues to inspire me to learn and grow even further. Congrats on the drop, brother. You deserve this. 🙏🏾 - OPAQUE w/ @sabinne._2ns - SWIFTLY (OBVIOUS) - 4 THA WIND produced & mixed by me by @math.i.as$
