860hp Next GEN 6466 BMW E30

Powered by a Precision Turbo Next Gen 6466, this 1987 BMW E30 has come a long way from the 120 crank horsepower it left the factory with. Now powered by a built 3.1L M50 on pump ethanol, the combination has made 860 WHP, with a Link ECU and tuning by @maztuning.

The owner has had the E30 since 2014, and what started as a street car became the platform that got him into modifying, fabrication, and chasing horsepower. It was never supposed to become a drag car, but after running a 10.3 @ 133 MPH last season with roughly 200 less horsepower, the goal is now clear: break into the 9s.

After losing the engine at the first event of this season, the car is finally back two months later with a new block and a beefier transmission. With 860 WHP already on tap, the team is chasing that 9-second pass and potentially the 1,000 HP mark this season.

And it’s still a street car. Earlier this year, the E30 completed a 1,400-mile round trip to the Tail of the Dragon without an issue.

Got to chase down @emtechtouring in his g80m3 on the ride back up tail of the dragon. Happy to say the 275 nittos and the new shocks make the car handle incredible taken in Tail of the Dragon by @mathblaster610

One checked off the list this weekend. Drove the car 700 miles to Tail of the dragon in Tennessee and beat on the e30. Been wanting to do this in this car for ten years now. Long video and I’m still learning the camera. But footage does it no justice. I will be back! taken in Tail of the Dragon by @mathblaster610

6466 Pump ethanol and some magic. @maztuning absolutely crushed it on this one
862 whp 723 tq. This thing has come so far from the 120 crank hp car I bought over 10 years ago. I don’t know what I’m gonna do with it next but definitely getting a 9 second pass in. Thankful for everyone that’s helped me along the way. And big thanks to @andys_mobile_dyno for running his Dyno and shedding so much knowledge. by @mathblaster610

It’s a Christmas Miracle. A ton has changed the past two months. @maztuning fit me in today for the first startup with the new turbo/injectors/intercooler & drive shaft. Everything went well drove it around the block just to see if I have any issues. Once we get some good weather I’ll get it on @andys_mobile_dyno and see what it does by @mathblaster610

E30 put in work today! Same power same tune just a little @maztuning magic on the launch control. Crushed my last pb by a mile. 10.3 and 1.5 60’ in a stick shift 80’s irs BMW I built in my garage ain’t to shabby. Clutch is cooked and I definitely broke an axle or something in the drive shaft hopping on the last pass of the day. Still big win! by @mathblaster610
